Silver Shells L04 is an incredible four-bedroom, three-bath penthouse condo boasting incredible panoramic views of the crystal-clear waters of the Gulf of Mexico and the surrounding Destin area. Whether you are taking a family vacation, going on a spontaneous trip with your friends, attending a special event or any occasion between, Silver Shells L04 offers all accommodations needed for a picture-perfect beach vacation.

Upon entering, you will find the fully-equipped kitchen on your right, boasting gorgeous granite countertops and stainless-steel appliances, plenty of storage space, along with all utensils and cookware needed to create your favorite meals while on vacation. The kitchen opens into the dining area and living room, providing plenty of room to spread out. The dining table seats four guests and there are three additional bar chairs by the kitchen breakfast bar. Step into the inviting living area offering matching furnishings and décor, along with a large, mounted flatscreen television and DVD player combination. Cozy up with your loved ones for a movie night after a long day of soaking up the sun on the beach or simply exploring all that Destin has to offer. Two guest bedrooms are on each side of the living room, each with a large flatscreen television. Each guest bedroom leads into its own guest bathroom, for added convenience.

Penthouse view

Gorgeous view, great location. Great atmosphere for family. We had 8 adults and had plenty of room. It was nice to have assigned parking. The only thing missing was a working dryer and enough silverware.

Beautiful condo

Our girls trip was amazing! The location of this condo is perfect to get to everything! Wonderful size and amazing views. One of my friends who stayed in the downstairs bedroom said the bed was leaning down to one side a bit so hopefully that can be fixed. The washer and dryer are a bit finicky but work. I’d love to bring my family here next year. A great experience all around. Make sure you allot time to get the wrist bands and keys. They have to be picked up from a separate location. It was an easy process though. A great place to stay in Destin. Hoping to be back soon!

Gorgeous Penrhouse

This is a beautiful space. It accommodated our family perfectly. The master bedroom was over the top. Super spacious, massive private deck & huge master bath. Great views.

This property was perfect for my family of 6. Went in late March and had almost no interaction with college spring break crowd. Located close to all services family spring breakers are looking for. Easy access to beach and pool.

Disappointing Experience Despite Beautiful Beach

We were really looking forward to our stay, but unfortunately, the condo experience left much to be desired. I contacted the property manager on four separate occasions during our stay, and communication was consistently poor. We have been home for two weeks and no one has returned my call regarding my concerns to this day. When we arrived to check in, we weren’t even acknowledged at the office, and the staff seemed unaware of our reservation.We were given the wrong condo bracelets, which led to uncomfortable encounters with resort staff who assumed we were not guests. With eight people in our group and only four fobs provided, it was frustrating trying to access shared resort amenities.The unit itself had several maintenance and supply issues. The master shower wouldn’t drain — thankfully, my husband was able to fix it himself using a plunger. The garbage disposal didn’t work, several of the bedroom TVs were non-functional, and there was no hand soap or usable toiletries in any of the bathrooms. One of the spare bathroom's tub was disgustingly dirty. The dryer sounded like it was going to fall apart at any minute. The best part of the trip was the beautiful beach and great weather — which helped make up for some of the inconvenience. However, the overall experience with the condo and management was disappointing, and we would be hesitant to return or recommend this property without significant improvements.

Very disappointing...DO NOT STAY HERE!

--When we checked in at the office, the staff did not recognize we were even there for several minutes. --Two people had no knowledge of our stay or the condo we were staying at. Weren't able to answer our questions promptly. Had to make phone calls to get our information. --our check in packet was not ready. --Vacasa staff gave us the wrong bracelets for our condo which led to our being harassed by condo staff and accused of not staying at the resort and tried to kick us off the beach. --Master shower would not drain. Called to report....we still have heard nothing! My husband had to fix himself using a plunger --We had 8 guests with only 4 fobs which made it a challenge to navigate the property --Garbage disposal did not work and would not drain. --No soap in bathrooms --No soap and shampoo in "provided bottles" in the bathrooms. --Very ill-equipped kitchen. --Smoke detector had no batteries. --Second elevator did not work for majority of our stay. --Some TVs didn't work in bedrooms. --drain covers missing from sinks. --Bathtub was black...would love to include the picture I took. For a penthouse or any rental, this was an extremely disappointing stay. We made two calls to Vacasa and used the text messaging option. We STILL HAVE HEARD FROM NOT ONE PERSON. I do not plan to use you again and would not recommend your services to anyone.

Not sure I would stay at this property again

The location is great for food and the beach. The condo is very spacious. The front door lock literally looked like someone had tried breaking into the place. There was what looked like dried blood on the sheets in a bedroom on the main floor. The toilet paper holder in one bathroom was hanging off the wall. One of the decorative pillows on the couch had brown stuff all over it (very unclean) The dryer left black lines on all of our clothes, I do NOT recommend drying your clothes there.

Nice unit, good location but below average management.

Unit have have a good ocean view, clean place. Easy to access to beach about 5minutes walking. Things in kitchen are cheap, still let a broken trash bin used and a few no big deal damaged such as a sliding door latch was broken, toilet paper holder almost fallen off from wall, wall corner chipped off etc…. Telling me this local Vacasa didn’t taken care of the unit for homeowner.

Penthouse view

We loved the Penthouse views! Nice views of the ocean and the surrounding area. We used the balconies every morning and evening to drink coffee, eat breakfast, and play games. The penthouse also had a private parking spot in the parking garage which was nice since we had 2 small children. The apartment tower had its own small swimming pool and hot tub which we used once. We had it all to ourselves. The main pool area was very nice with lots of space and was kept very clean. The walk to the beach was not that far. We enjoyed the beach and swimming pools everyday! Our family had a wonderful trip and enjoyed making special memories together!

Moldy Unit. A/c Was broke one night

The Unit was exactly as advertised but was very dirty. Mold growing from the closet vent upstairs. Carpet was stained. Very little communication on info on how to get to room or parking areas from VACASA. A/C unit was broke upstairs. They did fix it quickly and the property manager was very responsive, however maintenance man declined it was mold in the vent when you clearly could see it was mold. They did refund a portion of our stay which is why I gave 2 stars. Great location just needs some maintenance and better employees.

Location is Great

Silver Shells resort is in a great location. A bit away from the Harbor but not too far. Near restaurants and shopping. Of course if you know Destin the traffic right now is difficult with the construction. Silver Shells has 1 large pool and individual private pools for each building. There is a sand bar which serves snack and cold drinks on the beach WITH service to your rented chairs and umbrellas which was a pleasant surprise. Ruth’s Chris is right on site with a fun happy hour menu that is more casual. It’s also close to the Candymaker and Back Porch for places to walk to and not have to fight with traffic. Now for the condo itself, it was just ok. Carpets are extremely stained, the baseboards are thick with dust, there was garbage left on our patio and the walls are very marked up. It is in dire need of some tlc and care. With that said, the layout worked for our needs and we didn’t spend much time in the condo other than to sleep and the beds were comfortable. This condo sits on the south west side of the building so you do have all views of the Gulf, with St.Maarten and another building between you and the water.

Mom and daughter spring break

Beautiful penthouse on the beach. Great heated pool and close to restaurants. Everything was clean and well kept. Key pick up and drop off were not convenient. The unit could have used a couple of necessities, like tissue and coffee filters. Housekeeping had wrong information about our stay and showed up repeatedly asking when we were going to leave when we had 2 more days left. It took several phone calls to straighten out, but everyone was courteous. The beach and property were beautiful and I would happily return!

Family vacation

This penthouse was perfect for a multifamily vacation. It was super clean, beautiful beach views in all the bedrooms, VERY spacious inside and on balconies! We enjoyed cooking as family in the kitchen. We would DEFINITELY rent here a million times again. 5 stars isn’t enough. Truly vacation staying here.
