Peaceful side of the Smokeys
The cabin was great! We chose Townsend to stay out of the crush of Gatlinburg. It's known as the Peaceful Side of the Smokeys and it held up to that! The cabin provided us a peaceful setting that was pretty close and an easy drive into town for food and a very short drive to the Townsend entrance to national park. It was also easy to venture to Pigeon Forge for a little more bustle. The cabin has great amenities for cooking and laundry. The hot tub was great. We would definitely stay here again! The only thing to note is the driveway, which is very steep, but our SUV handled it just fine and the owners had warnings about it ahead of time. Just don't be surprised by a mountain area driveway in the mountains! Great place!
