GREAT EXPECTATIONS - 2 Bdrm/2 Bath, wood burning fireplace, secluded, Laurel Valley
Welcome to Great Expectations where your dreams of staying at a log cabin in the mountains will become reality! This secluded 2 bedroom/2 bath cabin is all that you can hope for. Located in the beautiful and exclusive golf community of Laurel Valley, Great Expectations is a very comfy home away from home.
On the first floor, you will find an open floor plan with high ceilings and plenty of natural light. The living area features a sofa, 2 rocking chairs, a wood burning fireplace and a large flat screen TV. The adjoining kitchen has plenty of space for cooking meals for your family. The fully equipped kitchen is just the right size for gathering around the table.
The master bedroom on the main floor features a huge log king size bed. It has a flat screen TV also. A dresser and large walk in closet make this convenient for your stay.
Upstairs you will find an open loft for playing games with the family or just hanging out. There is a sofa sleeper for two more guests to sleep on. The 2nd bedroom is upstairs as well as the 2nd bathroom. The upstairs bedroom has a queen size bed with a huge walk in closet, dressers & a chair for reading. We have placed a twin size roll out bed for a child as well.
On both the front and back decks, you will find accommodations for eating meals outside or just relaxing with a cup of coffee or glass of wine. A nice size hot tub sits on the side deck for your enjoyment as well!
This cabin is located in Townsend TN just outside of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It is about 20 minutes from Pigeon Forge and another 10-15 minutes from Gatlinburg. You will find lots to do like zip lining, horseback riding, sight seeing, river tubing and much much more just minutes from the cabin.
Great Expectations comes with FREE seasonal swim privileges at the Wild Laurel Country Club and year round usage of the fitness center.
This cabin has a somewhat steep road leading up to it which may require a 4 wheel drive vehicle in ice or snow.
IMPORTANT: Out of respect for the holidays and our employees, we do NOT allow ANY check in or outs on Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day
NO PETS ALLOWED OF ANY KIND, IN THIS CABIN.
Check-In:
CONTACTLESS CHECK-IN
*3pm - there is NO check-in office, you go straight to the cabin
Check-Out:
*10am - Please follow our check out guidelines.
Fireplaces:
*On During: October 1st - April 1st
Common Concerns:
*Road Conditions: Some of our cabins are on steep, narrow, curvy, mountain roads. If you are concerned about road conditions to get to a cabin, please feel free to ask us! None of our cabins require a 4 wheel drive under normal weather conditions but some do in inclement weather.
*TV & WiFi: We do have TV's and WiFi in most all of our cabins. There are times when heavy cloud cover, weather systems, mountains, or trees will cause problems with the signals. We always want our guests to have the comforts they want on vacation, but there are times we cannot control this problem.
*Pests & Wildlife: Here in the Smoky Mountains, we have lots of native bugs and wildlife. All of our cabins are treated for pests, but there are times you will find bugs or even have trouble with bugs. Fall/Winter is ladybug season in the Smokies and these little buggers are attracted to heat, meaning your cabin and every other one out there that is warm! They will swarm to the cabin and you'll probably see them alive/dead on windowsills, in vents, etc. Rest assured that your cabin has regular pest control and is professionally cleaned, including bug removal, before and after your stay. However, these bugs come back right away and unfortunately there is nothing that can be done about them until the season passes. Please never feed, taunt or approach any wildlife. This is their home and we are the visitors.
*There are no refunds for storms or power outages. If there is a power outage, there will be no water and potentially no heat. Storms can also make roads impassable, so if a storm is in the forecast during your reservation, come prepared with water and non-perishable food, etc.
