Amazing stay at Shangri-La

This was our second stay at Shangri-La, but the first time in this penthouse. Super easy booking and great communication from the host. The condo was beautiful and the view was amazing. Location is perfect, just a short walk to the marina/shops/restaurants. The property managers arranged shuttles both to and from the airport and also gave us a wonderful tour of the property on arrival and explained all we needed to know. This was a great place to stay for our family of 10 and we would definitely book this location again.

Amazing Experience

Marcos greeted us with so much knowledge and charm. We were wowed by what is one of the most beautiful condominiums with a spectacular view. Bought steaks and great wine and BBQ’d on our balcony to candle light with really one of the best views in the Marina.

Great Venue for Large Group

Shangri-La is an amazing complex. We have stayed here several times over the years. This was our first time in this penthouse. It was great to have five bedrooms for our multi-generational family of nine. The owner was very flexible with our various arrival and departure times, Marco, her on-site manager was delightful and did an excellent job of orientating us to all the details of the condo and Aurora, the cleaning person was super as well. You will love your time at Shangri-La!

2019 Family Christmas Vacation

This property is amazing. When we walked in everyone’s mouths dropped. The view is incredible and I can’t even describe it well enough. The condo was even more than we expected. It’s located half a block away from the marina and shopping and restaurants. Downtown is a 30 minute Uber ride. We used Uber during our trip and it was very easy to use. The pool bar/grill was very tasting and really well priced,sometimes slow service but overall very nice to have available Marcos the property manager was very attentive to anything if we needed it. When he meet us at the property to check in it started off our stay with laughs and from that point I knew we had picked the right place. The owner was very easy to work with before our arrival too. This condo at Shangri-La was a dream come true.

Lovely 4 bedroom condo in Shangri-la Resort!

We rented this unit for the 5 bedrooms it offered, but ended up just needing the 4 bedroom main unit. I am not confident and cannot recommend the 5th bedroom as I believe it was down a service corridor. The listing indicated daily housekeeping and light meal prep between 9 -5. After arrival, we learned that this portion of the listing had not been updated, which was disappointing. However, the onsite manager did arrange for housekeeping 3x during our week, and the house cleaners were extremely thorough. We love the Shangri-la resort and have been several times. We would return to this unit, although we will try for a different unit if we need all 5 bedrooms. Overall, this is a beautiful, well-equiped unit and the management was excellent to work with, providing great communication.

Wow! Amazing Condo and Community

What a stunning view when the elevator doors first open into the condo. Wow! Marcos, the property manager is super. He walked us through the condo and explained how everything worked. He provided us his contact details in case we needed anything. The condo is perfect for family gatherings. It is spacious, well appointed, clean and comfortable. We spent most of our time on the outdoor balcony looking at the pool and bay. We even saw many whales! Everybody in the community is friendly and the staff are very nice. Staff helped us arrange a boat charter and assisted with paddle boards and kayaks. The pool is huge. On-site bar and restaurant is perfect and inexpensive for breakfast and lunch. Swim up bar with great drinks at a decent price. The location is great and just across the street from the marina where there are many options for restaurants, bars, entertainment and shops. The housekeeper came everyday to tidy up. We will definitely return to this condo very soon.

You cannot get any better than this condo in this location. Waterfront. Unbelievable views! Great comfortable condo with great bed/bath rooms all with great views. Hours spent lounging on the deck looking at whales, boats, and town. Fantastic facilities and amenities. Uncrowded beach and pool. 5 minutes from airport. Beautiful condo with an excellent view. Convenient location is very close to everything marina-oriented. Pools and beach are beautiful and close. This property was just as described and was, for the most part, accessible to someone in a wheelchair (beds were too high). We didn't use the maid service much, but when she was there, she was very accommodating and unobtrusive. Will definitely stay again.

When we first looked at condos to rent 7 years ago, we instantly fell in love with Shangri La. Incredible luxury, wonderful views and beautifully maintained grounds. It’s right across from the marina and 20 minutes from Puerto Vallarta center, a great location. The best part is Atousa’s penthouse. We’ve rented it for 4 years now, and each time it’s like coming home. The condo is beautifully decorated and maintained. It has everything you need to feel at home. Every convenience is there! We are always welcomed by Atousa’s team Marcos and Aurora. Marcos is very attentive to any need and Aurora is a great housekeeper! Any problem is taken care of immediately. We love listening to the waves at night- it’s very relaxing. My favorite place is the balcony with its magnificent views of the grounds, pool, beach, and the bay. It can take your breath away. There’s always one more look from the balcony before we tear ourselves away. We love it! It’s magical!

Spot On!

For the past five years, nine siblings have been thoroughly enjoying this two floor magnificent Penthouse Condo. From the moment your private elevator door opens, you are transported to a new world, which includes a stunning panoramic ocean view. This spacious condo is tastefully decorated. Aurora & Marco are there to greet you with Margaitas, chips, and homemade guacamole. This is a secure, gated community, less than five minutes from Airport. On-site restaurant with poolside and room service. The Ocean is a mere 50 feet from private pool. You can walk two blocks to the Marina restaurants/shops, or catch the bus for a twenty minute ride to downtown Puerto Vallarta, where you will find local artists on the Malecon, restaurants and shopping. This condo has a well stocked kitchen for in home cooking; or you may have Aurora work her magic by cooking for you. She loves exchanging Spanish/English lessons. Aurora also cleans as often as you prefer. Washer/dryer in condo. Once you stay here, the question is not, will I come back? It is, how can I extend the stay next year!!

Perfect Vacation

Our Family spent eight wonderful days at Atousa's penthouse and enjoyed every minute of our time there. We were greeted by Marcus upon our arrival on Thursday October 23, 2014. This was our second stay for my wife and I but the first for our children and grandchildren so we were reasonably familiar with the unit and the Shrangi-La complex. Everyone was so pleasant and helpful; they went out of their way to ensure that we were well taken care of. From the security people at the front gate to the security people in our building they recognized us and greeted us each time we arrived. The gentlemen at the pool - Pedro and Daniel - were so nice to our entire family but especially to our grandchildren, we cannot thank them enough!! The lady that maintained the unit, Aurora was excellent! She brought my wife flowers and prepared a very special seafood salad when our children arrived a few days after we did. Everything about this penthouse is beyond expectation! We will return as often as we can! To all the staff at the Shrangi-La we want to say "Mucho Gracias"!!!!!

Wonderful!!!

Wow! What an incredible place! From the moment we stepped off the elevator into this beautiful penthouse with its stunning views, we knew we had found something special. We were welcomed with fresh chips, guacamole, and margaritas as we walked out onto the huge balcony to enjoy the scenery....amazingly well kept grounds, winding pool, sandy beach, all with a backdrop of mountains! The four master suites are spacious and tastefully decorated, and the entire condo is immaculately clean. Each morning when our eyes opened to the breathtaking view, we pinched ourselves. Our housekeeper, Aurora, was the sweetest most hard working person ever! She was there from 9 - 5 every single day and made the place sparkle...in more ways than one! We used Google translate to hold conversations with her and we all became great friends! The pool was beautiful, never crowded, we were always able to get lounge chairs, and the service for food and drinks was excellent. Everyone was so friendly! We enjoyed amazing massages at the spa located right at the pool, for a very reasonable price. We walked across the street to the marina for dinner most nights as well as for the local craftsmen/vendor's market held every Thursday evening. Ironically, our favorite restaurant turned out to be Italian...La Terraza di Roma at the marina...great food and fun atmosphere. The charming, handsome host, Salvatore, was an added bonus! I must give some advice regarding the airport and transportation to the condo...that was the only negative to our trip. We were told we would find a VIP desk directly behind baggage claim who would have our name & transportation would be waiting...didn't happen. Once we finally found the right desk they didn't have our names so called Marcos, the property manager. We were told our van would be $105 to take 7 of us for a 10 minute drive to the condo. We had no choice. During our stay, however, we called our own vans for 20 minute trips to/from downtown PV, as well as back to the airport for our departure, and the fare never exceeded $20 for the 7 of us. Another tip: I wouldn't recommend getting pre-stocked groceries...doesn't work too well. Aside from a bit of a rocky start, we were seven ladies on a girls getaway who truly found paradise! We had the time of our lives! Atousa, the owner, was very easy to work with and very responsive. I would highly recommend this amazing condo to anyone looking for a perfect vacation. We will absolutely return!

AMAZING!!

Me and a couple of friends Boys and girls enjoyed a relaxing spring break! it is was not a party environment and that was what we were looking for. the experience was amazing everyone had their own bedroom and a lot of privacy the view are amazing! Shangri-la made it an amazing experience for us hopefully we do have another trip like this :) the only problem was underneath this gorgeous penthouse stayed couple that were much older than us and they complained about the noise but everything else was amazing :)

Already Looking for a Reason to Head Back

This was my fourth trip to Shagri-La and my first stay in this gorgeous Penthouse. Put in the simplest of terms, "it was a perfect location for an outstanding holiday." To understand, I booked this Penthouse for my wife and I, , my daughter and her husband and my two grandchildren aged six and two. After a week, not one of us wanted to leave. The unit is spacious, well equipped and the beds are so comfortable. The view from the balcony is incredible and it is impossible to get up in the morning without going right outside to see the fishing boats heading out and to watch the pool getting readied for the day. At night, the stars, the lights of Puerto Vallarta and the soft air all combine to make you want to sit out and have just one more glass of wine before ending what seems like another perfect day. Of course, Shangri La itself is an ideal facility. Semi private elevators, huge pool area that is never crowded with lots of chairs and lots of sunshine. You feel very special and very elegant just being a part of this facility, even if only for a few days. One of the great things is the proximity to the airport, so that you can land and be having service at the poolside within an hour. Yet it is never noisy. There are also a wide variety of great restaurants just a few minutes walk away at the Marina, so you do not need to rent a car to enjoy this great spot. We have been back in Canada for three weeks, and my family is already plotting for some free time to return to Shangri La and to this wonderful Penthouse. I highly recommend it............as long as you don't book it when I want to be there!!!

Family Vaction March 2013

My wife and I have stayed at the Marriott Casa Magna at the Marina for the past 15 or so years but because our two children, their spouses & two toddlers joined us this year we needed more room but still wanted to be in the Marina area where some of our favorite restaurants are located. What a great choice we made when we selected this beautiful condo. It was everything as advertised! Spacious, meticulously clean, beautifully furnished with wonderful scenes of the bay. Atousa was responsive to all our needs and property manager Marcos went above and beyond in making our stay a memorable one. I would definitely recommend this property for an unforgettable family vacation.

Pure Luxury

We are in love with Puerto Vallarta and Shangri-La in particular. This was our 7th year in a row to stay in the Marina area and our 4th year at the Shangri-La complex. Don’t believe any bad press about Mexico as it relates to Puerto Vallarta. We would not continue to return year after year with our children and granddaughter if we felt unsafe in any way. The owner Atousa, of this beautiful condo has been a pleasure to work with and we will be returning again in 2014 for the 3rd year. She has honored each commitment made. The property manager and maid were wonderful to deal with and responsive to our needs. The pictures don’t do this condo justice and the view of the bay is outstanding. The 4 bedrooms face the ocean and we fall asleep and wake up listening to the ocean surf. The view of the daily sunset from the large balcony was spectacular. The condo is well maintained and beautifully decorated. Entertaining guests was made easy with the well-equipped kitchen and outdoor grill. The TV, sound system and Wi-Fi gave all the conveniences of home. A trip to Costco, Wal-Mart and a nearby supermarket made it easy and inexpensive to get everything we needed for our stay. Shangri-La has everything we want on a vacation. The pool and beach are outstanding and never over crowded. The restaurant at the pool is great and the staff very friendly and helpful. The newly enlarged health club with a view of the ocean makes the workout most enjoyable. The grounds are well taken care of and security people keep the property private for us, and our guests. Each building has a concierge who calls taxis and attends to other needs. The gated property adds that extra security. I played tennis almost every day and had no trouble getting court time and finding people to play with. The people who own condos and renters have been very nice and most come year after year so we have made many friends at Shangri-La. I hesitate to share this location with others since I want it to be available for me. Several of my guests are renting other condos in Shangri-La next year to vacation with us and bring their own families. When we arrived this year we felt like we were home and never left since last year.

Lovely Penthouse

This is a great place to vacation, very spacious and beatifully furnished. All the bedrooms are facing the ocean, wonderful way to wake up in the morning, beautiful sunsets in the evening. Lots of restaurants located in the Marina which is a very short walk, we went to Victor's several morning for breakfast. The neighbors we met were all very friendly, the pool is a very social place, meet lots of nice people. I would difinitely recommend this place.

Top Notch Penthouse Condo!

Every aspect of our stay in this condo, and at the Shangri-La property, met or exceeded our expectations. The owner was responsive and easy to deal with throughout, the property manager welcomed us with Margaritas and home made guacamole and chips, the condo was impeccably decorated and maintained, the maid was friendly and helpful, and the views of the Puerto Vallarta bay were spectacular. Overall, there was plenty of space for our two families (twelve in total) to get comfortable and relax, and we highly recommend this condo to others.

Girls Getaway

Myself & four girlfriends stayed here in the Shangra La Penthouse and had a fabulous time! We were welcomed by Viviana and the housekeeper who had prepared margaritas & home made sala & guacamole. DELICIOUS!! The view is to die for. We spent many hours sitting on the deck watching everything from cruise ships coming in & out to thunder & lightening in the evening. We thoroughly enjoyed the spaciousness of the condo. Everyone had their own space for some quiet time if needed. Also since several of us enjoy cooking, the kitchen was perfect for preparing some great Mexican meals! Loved the decor & artwork too. We tried to think of names for the two senoras in the dining room picture since they were always there smiling at us. A big thank you to Atousa for making the condo rental process very easy & having quick answers to all my questions!

FABULOUS!!!

We spent a wonderful week at the Shangri-la in Marina Vallarta which is just a short 10 minute ride from the airport. Once you land and collect your bags you are literally minutes from stepping into your gorgeous penthouse. From the minute we stepped out of our private elevator into the living area with it's breathtaking view of the ocean and PV in the distance we were hooked! The accommodations are perfect for a large group, plenty of room for everyone and then some. The property is clean and well maintained and the pool is one of the largest I have ever seen and right on the beach. Everyone including the property manager, the pool boys, the security guards and cleaning people were so incredibly friendly and helpful. The owner, Atousa, is so nice, accommodating and pleasant to work with. We hadn't been to Mexico for quite some time and had a zillion questions which she always responded to in a timely manner. Anything and everything you could possibly want or need is available. There's a Costco, a Walmart and a large grocery store nearby. We enjoyed gathering on the spacious deck every morning with our coffee to plan our day. The deck, with it's incredible view was the perfect beginning and ending to each day. PV is only a short 10 minute cab ride away. There are many activities including golf, para sailing, jet skiing, zip lining (Los Veranos Canopy Tours-the best!) etc available. Everyone we encountered on our trip from Old Town PV to the small towns and resorts we ventured out to up the coast were so friendly and welcoming. If you've had any reservations about going to Mexico due to all of the bad press, don't worry! PV and the areas north going up the coast are SAFE! If you have the time, hire a driver, which is what we did, or rent a car and venture up the Nayarit coast and stop at the small towns and resorts. We had lunch at the Four Seasons which is lovely, shopped in the boho chic town of Sayulita which has lots and lots of great shops and a wonderful little beach. While we were driving through Punta Mita we encountered a man carrying a freshly caught whole red snapper, we immediately started thinking 'dinner!' Our driver had a cooler so he negotiated a price for us and had our 17 lb fish cleaned and filleted. We brought it back to the penthouse where we made fresh ceviche, guacamole & salsa and then BBQ'D several filets on the gas grill. Doesn't get much better than that! A great place to spend your vacation with family and friends!

Unbelievable

Pictures and words just do not do this incredible property justice. It was WOW! Way more than we could've imagined. I just can't say enough about this clean, spacious, modern, luxurious accomodation, The outside pool is humongous. The beach is close. Our family of 12 had acres of room indoors.It is well worth the money. The owner is great to work with. I've never stayed in a better place. My only regrets about bragging about this place are for selfish reasons. I don't want to share this paradise with others because I want it to be available when we go back again.

A-Maze-Ing!!!!!!

We just returned from a blissful week in PV. The condo was everything that we expected, and more. The view as we stepped off the elevator for the first time was breathtaking! The condo is so spacious even our party of 12 had plenty of space to stretch out and have down time when we came in from the pool and beach. Erica and Tomas were so accommodating and made us feel so comfortable. We came to PV to spend a week with good friends and our kids before starting a new school year and the accommodations, and the city lived up to all of our expectations! Hope to visit again soon!

Perfect location perfect holiday

From the beginning this experience was fantastic and easy. Once the doors opened to the penthouse elevator, we were in heaven. WHAT A VIEW!!!!! We were a family party of 12 (6-50ish yrs of age) all wanting something different and in the end pleased with all we received. The location was GREAT/clean/safe with an excellent pool and attentive/friendly/fun property staff. Reina, the housekeeper, was just fantastic/discreet/quiet and simply awesome with the kids. She came thru with everything we asked for we just gave her a tip for going beyond of what was expected of her. She loves to cook by the way and is excellent at it. The penthouse was beautiful and very well maintained/comfortable with gorgeous views. Amenities (Walmart,Costco, groceries, restaurant, OXXO, Starbucks, etc) were a short distance and transportation (taxi/buses) rt outside the front of the property. The owner is also simply one of the the nicest and easiest persons to communicate with. What she promises is what you will get. We all truly highly recommened this property. The pics do not do it justice. It is sooooo much more. Thank you for the wonderful memories Atousa. We left some pool toys for future guests to enjoy. We already miss "our" vacation home. PS: The one thing we would recommend is an actual large party toaster
