About this property
Blocks from the University of Oregon with gorgeous views of the City of Eugene
Welcome to Deer Wood Manor!
Deer Wood is a beautiful spacious home on nearly an acre of forest within blocks of the University of Oregon. The home is a short walk to the University of Oregon, Hayward Field, Matthew Knight Arena, Autzen Stadium. As well too many restaurants, Wild Duck, Beppe & Gianni s, McMenamin's, Sweet Life Petite Bakery, Prince Puckers, Agate Alley, Studio One and Hey Neighbor Pizza Place- and that's just to name a few!! Located in the Fairmount area, in a beautiful neighborhood with parking and an outside eating area complete with a new barbecue. The view is most spectacular at sunset perfect for sitting and having a glass of wine with friends. The kitchen is well equipped and if we don't have it, you are welcome to ask for it! We have bought the most comfortable beds and furniture we could find. We have tried to imagine everything possible to make your stay feel like home or even better!
Deer wood manner has four beautiful bedrooms. Three of the four bedrooms are upstairs bedrooms. One king and two queens are located upstairs. Two have private bathrooms. On the lower level of the house there is a bedroom with King size bed that can be changed to two twin beds, just us know. There is a separate full bathroom with bathtub that is shared with downstairs bedroom and a separate den with flat screen television and queen sleeper sofa, perfect for kids or teenagers.
The riverside bike path is also only blocks away. Market of Choice, (provides a wonderful selection of organic and gourmet take out foods) and Hiron s Drug s and Novelties is not to be missed. Close by find easy access to several highways including Interstate I-5.
Everything is brand NEW in this lovely older home! From the new comfy beds and linens to the champagne glasses- this house has been carefully decorated with our guest's comfort in mind. If we don’t have it- we are happy to find it and provide it when possible.
The home is open and inviting with large bedrooms, a gourmet kitchen with an island, a large living room with a fireplace and lots of comfy seating. Three bedrooms are upstairs on the main floor with the kitchen and living room. On the lower level of the home you will find a private queen bedroom and full bath next door to a den with a queen sofa sleeper and large flat screen television. The lower level of the home tends to be very popular with families and groups who want to view separate television channels or wish to have more privacy.
The home has spectacular views of the University of Oregon, the Willamette River and the City of Eugene. You have access to the whole house and backyard. Great place to BBQ and enjoy the beautiful trees and flowers. large outdoor table for the covered patio. The backyard is peaceful in the evenings ~ our guests report that they really enjoy spending time barbecuing and enjoying the peace the property provides.
There is a two bedroom Apt over the garage. They have their own backyard space.
Deer Wood is also very popular with our younger visitors. In the summer months the Fairmount park opens up with its fun water feature, new sandbox and swings and slides.
Please note* our 4th bedroom is either two XL twin beds or it can be pushed together to become a King size bed, let use know which you perfect so we have it set up for you Also 5th bedroom is the private den with flat screen television. It converts beautifully to another bedroom.
YNOTE- this house sleeps 10- NOT 12.

About the host
Hosted by Kathy G. Robinson

We are parents of a past U of O graduate. We know what it is like to visit our daughter and wanting to have quality family time together, just like home. We would come up thinking we would be eating at restaurants and stay in hotels, but our daughter just wanted a home cooked meal. So we bought this amazing home in the Fairmount District of Eugene, Deer Wood Manor. It gave our family that feeling of home that we enjoy with our daughter and her friends. We now what to share Deer Wood Manor as a vacation rental to other U of O families who want to visit the Eugene area and have that same experience. We fell in Love with U of O and Eugene , we know you will too! There is so much to see and do in Oregon.
