We stayed here for 3 nights, while tuna fishing. A great location, not too far from Waihau. Very clean and well equipped cottage. Margaret is lovely. Can drive boat right in to section. Lovely walks, beautiful bay.
Great communication and good instructions on how to get to Whanarua Bay Cottages.
The owners were great when we had to cancel our non-refundable payment due to bad fishing weather and let us re-book for the next week.
There was plenty of room to park the truck and boat.
The Manager was very friendly and helpful.
Great place to stay.
True kiwi batch in a hideaway location, bit of a hill to get down to the water but very much worth the walk. Bach was absolutely spottless clean. I could back a 6.2 meter boat into the section but you would struggle if it was bigger. It's about 15min drive to Waihau Bay ramp which was no problem. Really enjoyed the wild life in the area and we would stay again in a heartbeat, thanks Margaret.
Whanarua Bay is a great spot for diving and kayaking. The Waihou Bay boat ramp is a scenic 20 minute drive away and the sandy beach opposite the Waihou Bay campground is excellent for swimming. The treehouse cottage has everything you need and is pet friendly so the pooch had a great holiday also. Margaret is right next door so is available to answer any questions or lend her kayaks. We had a lovely time and would definitely stay again. Thanks Margaret.

@very clean, very ‘batchy’ and comfortable.
We had a great weekend at The Treehouse. Cozy and comfortable. Lots of kitchen utensils and cooking equipment. Peaceful location. The photos and description on the site are 100% accurate. Queen in larger bedroom might need a replacement. For two couples and a weekend away it was perfect. Lovely little bay across the road. 15 minutes to Te Kaha. Thank you Margaret!

Super clean and tidy beach bach, well appointed and beautifully presented. Close to beach, not too far to cafe for a daily coffee 'fix'. Highly recommend as a family destination - safe for little ones, enough space for older families too.
