Deco Cottage - Position Perfect

All day sun and sea views, from this lovely art deco cottage, in Oneroa. Deco Cottage is situated within a 5 minute walk to 3 amazing beaches with swimming, boating and fishing. Just a few minutes walk to the main village of Oneroa featuring a great variety of shops, for all your holiday needs, restaurants, deli, cafes and bars.

Deco Cottage is a wonderful year round retreat. All bedrooms have their own french doors to the sunny front deck while all living areas have wonderful sea views opening on to the back deck. The property has a large lawned outside area, off-street parking, outdoor furniture and a gas BBQ.

The cottage retains its Deco charm while being very comfortably furnished, and includes fibre WiFi, TV, DVD, stereo, fully equipped kitchen including microwave, fridge-freezer and appliances.

A washing machine and drier are accessible for 7 night minimum stays. All bedding is supplied; guests just need to provide towels. A portacot, bath and high chair are available for those with young families Prices include linen. Tea, coffee and basic supplies are available on arrival.

Transport from the wharf is a 5 minute ride by taxi or bus.

Deco Cottage is a perfect base from which to explore the world class wineries, amazing walks, beaches and charming village of Oneroa, on this amazing Hauraki Gulf Island.

Lovely relaxing bach!

Very comfortable property. Although it is an old house, there are plenty of heaters and we were cosy. Comfortable beds, and quiet as set back from the street. Would stay here again, thanks!!

Weekend away

Love waiheke and relaxed atmosphere. Oneroa a lovely wee town with lots of great restaurants. Wineries are amazing and many short walks with wonderful views. Public transport mostly great but a little frustrating when you see several buses go past with “not in service” and other buses are full. The cottage has everything you need, comfy beds, great views, central. Deb the host was great to deal with and answered any queries promptly.

A vintage paradise!

What an AMAZING stay - the place was comfortable, charming, cozy, yet spacious & the best views and locations. We did NOT want to leave - Deb was incredibly communicative and it was the BEST holiday ever. Thank you so much! Can't wait to stay again. :D

Great view and location

Classic cottage with a great view and plenty of outdoor space. Easy walk to Oneroa beach and nearby cafes. Deb was friendly and easy to communicate with as well. One night we had five adults and one baby stay, and we all fit pretty comfortably. The only thing was that it wasn’t as clean as expected.

Perfect location

This old school bach was cosy and had lovely views of half moon bay. Perfect location near to shops and beach. Not luxurious but best bed I’ve ever slept in in a bach. All you need for a getaway from the city. Recommend.

If you're thinking of a trip to Waiheke then there is only one place to stay and that's Deco Cottage! Truly feels like a home away for home. Location couldn't be better cafes, bars, grocers and beautiful beaches all within wandering distance. Everything about this property makes it hard to leave...

Recommendations for (little improvements)

We loved the location and the 'cuteness' of the cottage but here's some ideas (since you asked). Pegs for the clothes line A step ladder for very small (adult) guests -the top latch in the single room was very hard to reach. A cheaper rate for two people (very expensive we thought) Small towels for bath towels - 'hand' towels are fine if you're motivated to save washing/water.

Relaxing stay

Easy access for walking to both Oneroa and Little Oneroa. My 80+ yr old parents found the house easy living and enjoyed the vinyards.

Perfect holiday home for a beach holiday

We had a wonderful stay here and it was easy to communicate with Deb and have our questions answered. There are beaches only a few minutes walking distance from the bach so it was perfect for us with our little one to get to the beach every day. The bach is clean and has everything you need for a great stay. The view is also stunning and relaxing. Would highly recommend to others.

Great location

Our family of g'parents, + 2 found the 3 b/r bach to be perfect for shared space and its excellent amenities gave us all we needed even in mid winter! So easy to enjoy local beaches as well as travel to others on the excellent bus services. Walkable places for all our needs and recreation. Can't wait to return!

Authentic deco batch experience

We loved this comfortable unpretentious little batch. Close to everything with a great view and lots of doors to let in the breeze, plus a kingfisher in the garden. Would stay again.
