Comfy cottage with good beds. The bach has everything you need. Was a relaxing stay and good location. Great to see the Kaka birds in the trees. We will have to stay again.
Cute and quirky house with everything you need, heaps of room for 6 adults, and beautiful location. It really is Hill top and I'd suggest driving to the beach but its beautifully set up for outside entertaining and inside relaxing.
Clean and well kept property with all the amenities. My only suggestion would be to have a few windows with mosquito nets so the lovely breeze can be enjoyed throughout the house on hot summer evenings. We would stay here again.
Small but comfortable house in a good location within walking distance to Palm Beach. Was lovely having the dog on holiday with us and we could relax as the property was fully fenced.
Four adults and one small dog enjoyed a wonderful week at Hill Top. We loved the property, it was very cosy in the evenings with the fire going after happy hour in the conservatory. Great location and had everything we needed. Thanks to Hayden and Helena!
Great retro bach with enough modern comforts to keep the family happy.
My family have enjoyed our second stay at this bach. We all love Palm Beach, and the location is handy to the beach and only a short drive, or bus ride, to get supplies. Lovely courtyard and bbq area.
The Hill Top house was perfect for a group of six, It was really well stocked with things like firewood, the pantry was stocked with cooking oil, spices etc which was really handy, a buses ran regularly and the bus stop was very close
We were a family of 6 and stayed for 3 nights over the Easter weekend, the house was very clean and a great location within walking distance of Palm Beach, it had a great rustic feel and is nestled in amongst the bush and trees, our hosts made sure we had all we needed and it made for a wonderful stay at Waiheke, thanks guys for allowing us to use the house.
This place suited us beautifully. We loved sharing it with our 2 little dogs. We loved the master bedroom and relaxing in the sunroom. A great courtyard and lovely tranquil views. I would highly recommend it. Thanks so much.
Was amazed by the view and the fact there were three separate rooms each with their own charm. As it is usually hard to find reasonably priced places with enough beds this was perfect for myself and my friends, as we enjoy having our own spaces to retreat to.
Great place to stay for a few days, clear and easy communication, wonderfully private property with enclosed space to relax outside with good weather. Close to bus stop and within range of the beach.
Would definitely like to return at some point.
House was perfect for our requirements … security for our Labrador was of utmost importance and couldn’t have been better. Location was atop of a steep hill and a bit of a grind walking back up after a swim but that is all I can complain about. Other than that we weathered cyclone Hale but still had a great time.
My friend and I were excited for this stay on beautiful Waiheke. The house itself was beautiful, interesting, big comfy beds and lots of natural light and a lovely garden out front. But a few days before check in we were told that the houses water is non-potable, as is common on the island but as unfamiliar tourists I feel this should be made aware in the listing and reflected in the price.
When we arrived in the house our joy very quickly turned to torment as the whole house was infested with mosquitoes. What should have been a relaxing couple days on the island turned into three sleepless nights of buzzing in our ears and now absolutely covered in hundreds of bites.
What could have been one of the nicest places I've stayed in all my travels has ended up being one of the worst. I hope the owners fix this problem for future guests as I am not the first to experience this. However I would not recommend staying here.
We stayed here during the Auckland storms so we spent more time in the bach than we were expecting but luckily the bach was very comfortable and spacious and perfect for my family.
The living room and lounge were nice and spacious with a nice Kent fire (which we fired up one day when we all got wet in the rain). Me and my 3 kids and 2 dogs had heaps of space so could get away from each other when needed. The bach also has this cool conservatory which looks out at the bush and a great place for reading a book and having a quiet drink. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were comfy, the bach was clean (no spiders either which is a plus for me) and we loved all the cool art deco furniture and decorations. Highly recommend
