Your family and friends will be staying within the heart of Mission Bay's vibrant beach culture, one of Auckland most popular locations with cafés, restaurants, and cinema complex on your doorstep when you stay at this centrally located private and self-contained townhouse. There is a pathway that connects you directly to Tamaki Drive and Mission Bay's scenic white sand beach, large-grassed reserve and kids' playground. Mission Bay has a large number of restaurant options with many providing alfresco dining.
As a 3-bedroom fully fenced townhouse, with front patio and BBQ area, its' own driveway and garage for parking and storage options, this is perfect for your short or long stay in Auckland. All bedrooms are located upstairs with the living areas on the ground floor. As a fully fenced section, this secure townhouse is perfect for young kids or those travelling with their family dog.
The kitchen has all the usual mod cons you would expect at home, including fridge/freezer, oven, ceramic hobs, microwave, dishwasher, and espresso coffee machine. The dining area includes a table with four chairs plus a bench seat which will easily accommodate 6 guests. The lounge includes a 3-seater and 2-seater couches, with a 55" smart HD TV connected to the high-speed fibre Wi-Fi.
The spacious master bedroom has a brand-new luxurious queen bed and large wardrobe. The second bedroom has two brand-new super comfortable king single beds. The third bedroom is a smaller cosy space with a king single bed with single trundler bed stored underneath. Note: If using the trundler bed, leave the bedroom door open to prevent creating a fire hazard. Otherwise, you can move the trundler bed into the bedroom 2 floor space.
The house has a large family sized bathroom upstairs near the bedrooms, including a tiled shower, separate bath, with a large vanity/basin area, bathroom heater and heated towel rail. Two separate toilets are located in the house, one upstairs and one downstairs. The laundry has a washing machine and dryer, with Dyson stick vacuum and access to the small private backyard with washing line and access to the garage. The Webber BBQ is currently stored in the garage for security reasons but is there for your use.
You choose how you want to get around from Mission Bay. You can either drive your own car around Auckland from your Mission Bay Beach House base. Or otherwise, take an Uber/Taxi, use the frequent bus service that runs right through the main street of Mission Bay (Tamaki Drive), which is only a short trip into the Auckland CBD and vibrant waterfront with bars and restaurants. For those more energetic, why not take an e-bike or scooter and use the dedicated bike/scooter lane all the way from Mission Bay into the CBD via possibly the most picturesque harbour view anywhere on the planet.

Great safe location and a spacious comfortable stay. Well stocked kitchen that helped us do some home cooking. Host was easy to contact and helpful.overall a lovely stay. Thank youMerridy
Scott’s place is very nice, it was great for our week away. The location is amazing, walking distance to the beach. The property is tidy and overall we had a great stay
Nice house with amazing access through to Mission Bay beach and shops.Check in was easy and nice to get in a little bit earlier. The heat pump was very efficient and warmed the place up quickly. We enjoyed our stay here.
Fantastic! great location, accommodation and host!
lovely home, close to beach and restaurants. easy bus ride into city. Runs on boardwalks along beach. just loved the space and perfect place to relax. Scott was very easy to communicate with and look forward to another stay in future!
Excellent property for families that is very close to the Mission Bay shops, restaurants and beach. Really appreciated the walkway direct to Subway as it was raining on our first night. The house has a spacious lounge and separate dining area and kitchen. Bedrooms were also spacious and well presented. The kitchen had plenty of plates and utensils compared to other BnB properties. Everyone in our family enjoyed staying at this house and we will return in the future.
Staying in this house felt like coming home. Cosy and well appointed. Thoughtful provision in the kitchen, much choice of crockery and cutlery/utensils. Even boxes with lids for picnic sandwiches or leftovers. There was a good coffee machine and I was very happy to find many different teas available although no teapot. Lots of helpful condiments in the cupboard making cooking more interesting. The garden provided fresh parsley and mandarins from the trees. Upstairs the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom will be due for a makeover soon but had a good shower and excellent bath. Thoughtful provision continued with soap both liquid and bar, shampoo and conditioner, a hairdryer and plenty of toilet roll. The location in Mission Bay could hardly be improved, close to the beach and all the cafes and shops. Thank you Scott for helping to make our holiday successful.
I'm a kiwi who grew up in Auckland. I love the Auckland harbour, its beaches and the outdoor lifestyle it offers to those who want to get the most out of it. The Auckland Waitemata harbour is the best on the planet, Sydney doesn't even come close. Cruising around the islands in the Hauraki Gulf will blow you away. Great Barrier Island is a uniquely special place to NZ. If staying overnight isn't your thing, here are just some of the day trip options available: - Rangitoto Island (hike/trek to the summit for impressive 360 views) - Waiheke Island (beach / Vinyards & wine tours) - Tiritiri Matangi (guided walks on a wildlife sanctuary) - Hauraki Gulf Dolphin & Whale watching tours
Where else (other than a small island!) can you surf on the East (beautiful white sand beaches) and then travel within an hour to the West coast (stunning black sand beaches). I enjoy all water sports: surfing, swimming, wing-foiling, fishing & diving. I'm also a massive fan of all sports, I love running, biking, rugby, football and play golf weekly.
Why they chose this property
Having lived and worked overseas, when returning to Auckland we wanted to live close to the city, but also near the Eastern City Beaches. The East Auckland inner city strip of beaches (Okahu Bay, Mission Bay, Kohimarama, St Heliers) is a very popular hangout area for local beach goers, cyclists, runners, dog walkers, you name it. We live locally in Mission Bay and love the lifestyle.
After staying in short term rental accommodation in the USA and Queenstown, we realised that there was a shortage of good quality accommodation for families and/or friend groups who don't want to stay in a hotel in the CBD. We own a bach/holiday home in Pauanui, Coromandel and have rented this out for 15 years. I thought why not offer the same Coromandel bach/holiday house experience as a 'Mission Bay Beach House'.
The transport options abound, with frequent buses directly into the city (Britomart station), uber/taxis, or use the dedicated bike and scooter lane all the way into the CBD to immerse yourself in the stunning Auckland waterfront.
What makes this property unique
The house is only one street back from Tamaki Drive, the main street that runs from the Auckland CBD waterfront all the way through the Eastern City beaches (Okahu Bay, Mission Bay, Kohimarama & St Heliers). Mission Bay has a vibrant beach culture and is one of Auckland's most popular locations for both locals and visitors with cafés, restaurants, and a cinema complex.
The house provides your family and/or friends with a centrally located private and self-contained 3-bedroom home, that is both child and pet-friendly. We offer you all the mod cons of home if you want to spend a day or two relaxing and unwinding after travelling. Otherwise, use the house as your base to go exploring the sights during the day and then sample the great Auckland restaurants and night life afterwards.
