'Boutique Barn' barn accommodation / wedding venue

Unique barn accommodation, 1870's kauri shearing shed converted into gorgeous accommodation. The barn is rustic, vintage inspired, romantic accommodation just for two....xxx

The barn boasts an airy open plan living area with a queen bed, lounge, dining area and kitchen combined with a separate shower room and private courtyard complete with horse shoe brazier and outdoor bath. The barn is totally self contained, toasty warm (with new installed heat pump) And we supply farm fresh eggs and seeded for breakfast.

This private haven lies in a quiet country lane in the Waiwera valley, Auckland, New Zealand. Although "off the beaten track" is only 10 minutes to the historic village of Puhoi, with an assortment of beautiful east coast beaches to choose from, making it perfect for a romantic getaway, riding vacation or outdoor adventure.

Boutique barn is full of "all things vintage" and is set amongst foxgloves and roses, it lies within 50 metres of the main house but still remains totally private.

Plan a weekend away....maybe ... lunch at Puhoi cheese factory ( buy extra cheese for later) ... enjoy a beer at the famous Puhoi Pub....Oysters and Chips at the Puhoi General Store, kayaking down the river at Puhoi River Canoes...horse riding at Ti Tree Hills Horse Treks just to name a few activities to do in the area...xx

The barns are available as a delightful location for the wedding party to get ready, while using the barns and surrounding areas for wedding photos, then as the honeymoon for later.....xx

"Boutique Barn" is available as a intimate Barn Wedding venue, the rustic original wool shed suitable as a reception dining room and the old stables for the dance area, a very unique location suitable for a special occasion / wedding venue hire ( max 50 guests)

The barn was perfect. Very relaxing, cosy with luxurious touches which make this place one of a kind. You can see this is a labour of love and the hosts are amazing. If you have the chance to stay here, do it.

New Year Break 2023

This was just such an ideal place for a short break away from Auckland and for a quiet and peaceful way to bring in the New Year. The accommodation is quaint and has an interesting history which made it even more appealing. Everything you needed and our hosts Morrae, Trevor and Polly (the dog) were lovely.

Our one night spent at the boutique barn was absolutely one of our most memorable stays we have ever had. We just adored every detail of the barn and surrounding areas. The bbq was simply perfect for a summers eve dinner. You can also pick a few veggies from the organic garden! I was surprised to see a piano which was amazingly in tune as I am a avid piano player. I could go on for days but please don't miss this beautiful place! Im trying to find time right now to go for longer!

Perfect retreat

Gorgeous accommodation and idyllic location. Everything we needed and more, down to the small details like flowers on the table. Perfectly secluded and private while also close enough to the main house for potential just-in-case moments. The garden area is beautiful and the accommodation itself is like stepping back in time. So glad we stayed here.

The barn is ideal for a romantic getaway- it has everything you need, is so beautiful and in an amazing location for exploring the surrounding areas including Puhoi, Matakana and Tawharanui regional park. Morrae and Stephen made sure we had everything we needed and were so thoughtful, even making sure that the heating was on for when we arrived on a very wet and cold night! We have already been recommending it to friends and family!

This little gem is worth a visit, it is truly magic. We visited only for one night, but I wish we had longer. If you are looking for a place to hide away - you have to stay at the Boutique Barn! It's an addictive place and I can see why couples chose this as a wedding destination. We will be back!
