About this property

Modern, Family Friendly Beach Bach - Kuaotunu ( BYO LINEN)

Situated on a large, flat, grassy site. This modern beach bach has all the comforts of home and is ideal for entertaining. Only 15 minutes from Whitianga, 10 to Matarangi's 18 hole golf course and 25 minutes to Coromandel town.
The kitchen is well equipped. A large gas stove and oven, big fridge, microwave, as well as a Nespresso Coffee Machine (you just need to bring the capsules). It has a large island bench/breakfast bar.
The bach itself is well appointed, including a port-a-cot for use for younger children. As well as toys and books in the 3rd bedroom.
It has a unique family room with a huge sliding door which closes off one end of the lounge area. Great for kids to hang out and watch DVD's or TV, whilst the adults relax in the main living area nearby. The sofa here is a foldout double bed if you want to spread you group out. The adults too have a TV, Freeview and DVD player in the lounge with a wide selection of DVDs for those rainy days. Broadband wifi internet is also available to you here free of charge.

It has an outdoor, heated shower to rinse off after returning from the beach. Plenty of space to park your boat. An outdoor sink for cleaning and filleting fish. A BBQ is also provided for the cook ups!
There is a lovely lookout at the top of the hill which also has some rope swings to entice the kids.
A great children’s playground, tennis courts and huge recreation field is a 5 minute stroll away. Kuaotunu village is a leisurely 10 minute stroll down the beach where you can enjoy excellent coffee at the Cafe, dinner at Luke’s Kitchen or replenish your supplies of food, drinks, LPG, dive bottle fills, fishing gear, ice, bait, or the biggest ice creams on the Coromandel at the Kuaotunu Store.

Special conditions:
- BOND - A refundable bond will apply to all bookings at payment due
date which is refunded after satisfactory departure assessment inspection is completed.
- CLEANING - There is a compulsory $100 cleaning fee to be applied to all bookings.

-LINEN - There is no linen provided at this property. Guest must supply their own top and bottom sheets, pillow cases, towels, etc.
No camping, animals or smoking permitted.

Peaceful escape on the Coromandel

Comfortable, clean and well positioned to explore the Coromandel. Great location with walking distance to the beach and the friendly local cafe and bistro known as Lukes!The accommodation has everything you need, and communication with the hosts was always promptly replied to. We had a great stay at the bach recently. The property is exactly as listed. Amazing big lawn perfect for playing with the kids, walking distance to the beach and the shops. Nice and quiet location. Communication with the host was excellent.

Great Kūaotunu base

Richard & Sonja's place was a fab spot to stay for our week by the beach! Highlights - everything you need in the kitchen, an outside shower, big garden for small humans to race around in whilst you watch from the deck (which has pull down sides for windy days). We love Kūaotunu & are familiar with the area, all the beaches around are stunning, with plenty of esturies for little kids to explore. Having the shops etc close is v handy.

Relaxation and fun at the beach

The property is very comfortable and well suited to children. The only thing I would criticize would be the BBQ. The flame tamers had completely disintegrated. We did mangage to use it a few times. Property is very quiet and beach access super.

This is as good as a holiday home as you will find.

This is as good as a holiday home as you will find. Richard and Sonja have an amazing property in an amazing location. The house itself has everything you need, and you can tell that every detail has been thought of to ensure guests have a great stay. The indoor outdoor flow to the living space and kitchen is as good as the photos suggest and nothing beats coming back from a hard day at the beach than lying out on their spacious deck and enjoying some drinks and nibbles. You will love it here.

Why they chose this property

This is a family orientated Bach perfectly set up for 1 or 2 families. The large lawn makes it perfect for the kids to run around or play a game of cricket. It's private, with lush landscaping around the perimeter. Kuaotunu beach is uncrowded & beautiful.

Close to free tennis courts, children's playground, corner store, cafe, pizzeria & take away. Well fitted out property.
