St Georges Guest House Overlooking The Beach



Pricing - for the entire house - peak $800.00 plus GST, off peak $600.00 plus GST.
Maximum 8 people. Minimum 2 night stay. This luxury Guest House has just been extended and beautifully renovated, it is the perfect place to have some quiet, quality time away from the hustle and bustle of life.
Constructed of large glass windows, doors and natural stone, it is a very warm and functional building. Designed by local award-winning architects, it is beautifully finished with elegant furnishings to make your stay special.
The kitchen is well equiped with all the essentials - just bring your food.
Located overlooking a quiet West Coast beach with easy access to fishing and surfing, the long sandy beach provides hours of beachcombing, exploring the rock pools or walking in both directions.
Play tennis on the clay court while enjoying refreshments in the pavilion.
Situated 20 minutes from New Plymouth on Surf Highway 45 and only a short drive to many local cafes, restaurants, museums and activities such as shopping, swimming, hiking, golf etc.
Now with 4 stunning bedrooms it is a great family escape or that romantic weekend away. Treat yourself.
Can be rented in conjunction with St Georges By The Sea if required.

We really enjoyed our stay at St George's. The accommodation was well equipped with comfortable bedrooms and the kitchen/dining area was fantastic for relaxing into the evenings. We had fun playing badminton and tennis on the clay court, and explored the local beach too. Also a short drive to Oakura and nice winery restaurant. We would happily return for another stay!

Wonderful stay. Colleen made all communications very easy and nothing was too much trouble including a last minute decision to stay another night. Only thing that could be improved would be some extra items/utensils in the kitchen + a full sized fridge😊

I stayed here with my bridesmaids the morning before my wedding! The location was beautiful and perfect for photos! The windows allow beautiful natural light for the makeup artist and photographer. Colleen has great communication!

Family weekend

A special weekend to celebrate my 80 th with three adult daughters. Luxurious bedrooms provided ample rest, convenient catering facilities for us to enjoy making meals while in each others company -starting with secluded outside relaxing suite for evening nibbles and drinks. Nearby beach and walks enabled us to exercise between forays into the local dining and scenic spots.

An amazing venue for a family get together

This property is located on one of NZs most rugged coast lines but the venue is secluded, private, sheltered and offers everything that a resort overseas could offer a group. Perfectly organised and offers a pool, spa pool, gym and a chef kitchen plus tennis court and walking tracks.

The house was amazing, super clean and very luxurious. Overlooking the ocean, it is lovely and peaceful. Communication with the host was excellent and they were very accommodating. We will most definitely try to go back at some stage. Some very minor cons to be aware of: the house is split into two annexes that don't join each other. 3 bedrooms in one annex are totally separate from one another and can only be accessed by an external sliding door for each room. Fine if you have older kids but with younger kids this could pose an issue. The lounge/living area is pretty small and there is no TV - however we found it made for some good family bonding time. And the dining area is huge anyway. Final note - in another comment someone said that there is no laundry. This was prior to renovations and the property now has a large laundry. Overall - we felt very lucky to be able to stay here! We visited in winter and would love to go back in the summer to enjoy the sliding doors on all sides of the house as well as the beach which is literally 2 minutes walk away.

What a find this place is. Such an awesome set up. The rooms with their own bathrooms are just the best. The beds were super comfy, the showers incredible. What a great place to relax and rejuvenate. Absolutely perfect!!
