Foyle Huis - Adventure playground base
Situated at the Junction end of Ohakune our spacious but snug house is the ideal spot for any adventure seekers to make the most of the Tongariro natural playground. A short walk to the mountain bus stop, which provides transport to the ski fields during winter, and train station running the northern explorer link, you don't even need to have your own vehicle. It’s an gentle 3km walk into Ohakune township for the supermarket, ski ticket office and ski and bike hire, plus more eatery options.
The house is well laid out with an open plan living, dining and kitchen area plus 2 double bedrooms and a bathroom on the ground floor. Upstairs there are 2 more bedrooms and an en suite bathroom. The master bedroom upstairs has an area offering a separate rumpus space with beanbags, stereo, TV and DVD player. A selection of DVDs, books and games are available for your use. There is wifi available and feel free to bring your sky decoder.
A gas fire place and central heating, combined with double glazed windows that capture the afternoon sun, ensure a warm entertaining space throughout the year. The kitchen is fully equip if you would rather stay in and cook for yourselves, including a dishwasher.
A drying room is available for all ski and tramping gear and the internal access double car garage provides extra security for bikes and skis.
