Cute bach, a stones throw away from the city
Wonderful stay in a place that has so much history and lots of different areas to explore.
Hosts Sue and Aaron were so friendly and accommodating and were able to offer good tips to explore the island and little bits of history about the island and the baches
A beautiful location to chill out and unwind. The bird life is amazing 🐦
We had a wonderful time reliving the past and learning more about the history of Rangitoto.
Only 30-mins from CBD, but a world away
Wonderful family holiday. Friendly and helpful property manager. Outstanding location. We’ll definitely be returning!
Loved the Rangitoto bach.
I loved the charm and location of the bach, Susan made us feel at home, and it was a wonderful relaxing stay.
Blast from the past
Our family enjoyed this get away so much we’ve booked it again for a summer escape. It was a chance to get back to basics and connect without the distractions of devices (however there was connection if required). We got to see parts of the island that you wouldn’t normally have the time to see. Great to see the bird life flourishing, we saw Saddleback, Tui, Fantail and even a friendly Takahe on our walk to Home Bay in the bush along the ridge line. The kids had little adventures on their own catching bait and playing on the pontoon at Islington Bay Wharf. Next time we’ll bring the fishing rods as there were plenty of big fish about.
The accommodation was basic classic Kiwi Bach, no creature comforts, just the bare essentials, we loved it.
An amazing way to experience what the island has to offer and make the most of the hikes and scenery when most people are off the island
