The living space and bedrooms were clean and comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook. Had a great stay. Communication with the host was great.

Great stay and location!
We had a wonderful stay at Carmen‘s place. She was very helpful in inquiring if we needed anything additional, providing timely access codes, and offering any additional services we might need.I would definitely stay again.
Our family of 6 enjoyed a great stay at this property. It was a perfect location for us to take day trips to NYC and Philadelphia. We felt very safe walking in the neighborhood, and even to the grocery store and nearby train station. The owner was very communicative and though he was on property in the basement during our stay, we had sufficient privacy and felt right at home. We enjoyed the space this property afforded us. The only minor things that could be addressed are lack of night stands in the bedrooms and lack of lamps/lighting in the living room and back sitting room where the washer and dryer are located. We loved our time here and would book again!
We were in for a graduation party and needed a place to sleep, this fit the bill perfectly. Clean and very accommodating owner. Would definitely recommend this home for anyone traveling in this area.
We loved our stay at Carmen's place in Madison! The house itself was exactly what we needed and captured the charm of traditional Northeastern homes. The home was very central to everything the town of Madison has to offer (restaurants, bars, BAGELS!) and is within walking distance to the train station. Carmen was more than accommodating, making sure we were well taken care of and even gifted us with a bottle of wine from his vineyard! 10/10 would definitely stay here again.
Host was so friendly and welcoming! My friends and I enjoyed talking with him and learning about his Italian family history; it was very interesting. The home is clean and has lots of space. room.Wenjoyed the lowimultiplec
This was a very pleasant, short stay with basic amenities. Everything works well and the only issue was that there was not enough kitchen appliances. The property manager is very quick to respond and said that he will get more appliances next time. Price was excellent too

Pleasure to have your family. Think of us next time.
Lots of room downstairs for gathering, but lighting was barely adequate. Owner was very accommodating and communicative. Needs good cleaning around window sills and under beds.

Host cancelled our stay less than 24 hours before our stay. We were a party of 6 scrambling for another place to stay!
Location is exactly what I needed. The house was one away from Main Street. Everything very accessible. For being on Rosedale Ave, it was pretty quiet. Home was adorable with three nice bedrooms each with a window A/C unit which was needed. We had an emergency with the folks I was visiting having their home A/C system fail during this 100 degree heat wave. Their home was 95 degrees and no one or thing could stay there. They ended up staying with me while the system was repaired and everyone was comfortable. I hope to stay here again.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Location was perfect for a family wedding we attended in Madison. We selected the house because of it having 3 bedrooms. House does not have central air, 2 of 3 bedrooms had window ac’s. The one without was uncomfortably warm. Cleanliness of house could have been better. Dusty floors. Bathrooms could have been cleaner. Kitchen table and chairs were very wabbly, but dining room table set was very nice. Coffee maker needed to be cleaned before use. Plenty of bath towels but no hand towels for bathrooms. Host was very responsive to our feedback. Host does work in attached garage during stay. That was no bother for us because we did not spread much time there, but it may be for others. Location was the best perk. You can walk to downtown and farmers market.
Pros - Great communication, central location in Madison.
Cons - The house is run down, wasn't clean. Kitchen cupboards were literally dirty. Kitchen is very poorly stocked, not even paper towels.
The House itself is old, unmaintained, and poorly decorated, lacking furniture and an inviting feeling.
Lastly, if you are a light sleeper, you can hear the road and the shades in bedroom windows don't block light from coming in.
