Gun Lake Cottage - Bonfire, AC, Full Kitchen, Gazebo! Dock your boat or rent one

Cute 2 bedroom, 1 bath with a full kitchen, AC, heat, laundry room, towels, pillows, blankets, bonfire, dock, and more! One bedroom has a queen size bed while the other has a full size bed. We also have 2 queen size air mattresses to use. The Gazebo is perfect for enjoying morning coffee or relaxing at night. Fire up the grill or use the bonfire. We’re on the channel and have a dock you can use for your own boat or rent our pontoon (additional cost, please ask). We even have a 5-person pedal boat and 2 kayaks you are more than welcome to use to explore! You’ll have a great time out on Gun Lake! The sunrises/sunsets are gorgeous!

Great Place

Having air conditioning and more so boat rental made all the difference in the world. We had a wonderful stay. Loved the cozy outdoor space for morning coffee as well. Very relaxing! Mike was very responsive to our texts and easy to work with

Perfect getaway

Everything was amazing. Beautiful area and cozy property. We had every amenity we could hope for and even took the opportunity to rent the pontoon boat. Could not have asked for a better weekend getaway.

Pontoon Trip

We absolutely love this place! A perfect house on the lake with a modern pontoon boat. Mike is an excellent host and has the house well equipped with everything you could possibly need! The lake has very good fishing and is also big enough to not get over crowded on the weekends. Probably the best lake we have ever been to!

Great get away

Great two bedroom cottage - it is on a quiet canal on Gun lake. Cottage was clean with all the amenities you need accept for food. We took our own boat and explored the lake. Explored surrounding towns and had a great time. Give this place a 5 star.

Shelbyville exploration

Quiet, very nice, had business elsewhere but could have easily just hung out at the house the entire time. Well kept. Wasn't able to use the pontoon and definitely regret not making time to be able to, looked to be in great condition.

Great Gun Lake cottage on channel

We came in for a wedding at Bay Pointe Inn so location was close & convenient. We planned to bring our pontoon but opted out as had too many activities which ended up being fine but there is dock space to have your own boat. VRBO is cute and outside area is awesome to relax & enjoy! Owner communication was awesome and had no issues with VRBO. We thought we would never want a cottage on channel but it was very enjoyable especially with breeze coming off water while in backyard.

Channel Retreat

Family needed to get away and on some water to retreat from the Covid months. This was ideal! Something about sipping coffee with the sunrise in a comfy chair at the water's edge - so refreshing. On top of that, host Mike allowed us use of his pedal boat to explore around in, great activity for the fam. The cabin itself was well-furnished and came with everything we needed. We were impressed with the quality of appliances, furniture, and cosmetics throughout, especially for a small cabin. Place was clean and 100% prepared for guests. We felt comfortable and it was easy to relax - which I suppose is the point. Highly recommend and will be back! Just don't book on our weekend ;) Thank you, Mike!

Great Lake Cottage

We just checked out this morning. It was one of the best cottages we've ever stayed at. The lake channel is perfect for younger kids & adults to be able to kayak, paddle board and fish. It's safer, less wake and peaceful. The cottage came fully stocked. I only had to purchase a cheap 9x13 pan to bake brownies for the kids. So many great bath towels. Our grandchildren thought they had to shower daily, therefore we went through all of them them quickly. I was so thankful for the large capacity washer and dryer. Once again, fully stocked with detergent and softener sheets. We rented the pontoon boat also. Had a great time pulling the kids around on the 2-person tube we just bought. Overall, a fantastic week! The place was a quaint little cottage. Perfect for us and Mike king was a very good host. He answered me quickly when I needed assistance. My boys loved the waterfront. They seen a huge snapping turtle and now want to go back again soon.

Very Cute

It was a very nice cottage. It’s right on the water which is nice. We’re from Florida so seeing snow was a treat for us. We liked that there was a local grocery store not too far up the road. Overall it’s a nice place for a couple to stay or a couple with one child.

Great for our wedding weekend.

We got Married at Bowens cidar mill and this was very close to the venue. Overall it was a very nice stay with an effortless check in, the lake house was adorable and intimate and the host was very nice. Lighting a fire in the fire pit while enjoying the patio furniture on the lake before our big day was just what we needed thank you so much!
