Carefully renovated, located in the very calm countryside with seaview

Ancient building totally renovated (2014) located in the countryside between Maruggio and San Pietro i. Bevagna near to the white sandy beaches of the blue ionian sea (2 km). The property is surrounded by stone walls with a 4000 sqm mediterran garden and a fresh little pine forest. Our villa can accommodate up to 5 guest with 2 bedrooms with air condition ( to be paid extra )2 bathrooms, outdoor shower, living-dining area with satellite TV (Astra / Hotbird) and adjacent kitchen, fully equipped. In all rooms you will find the traditional barrel vaults of tufa. Relax on of the several outdoor terraces (east to west) or the beautiful rooftop terrace with 360 °panoramic views over olive groves and the blue sea. No limits for children to play whenever and whatever they want to on the spacious ground. The villa is located just a few steps away from Maruggio and San Pietro, which offer a large selection of restaurants, shops, bars and all other daily needs. Only a few minutes away and easily reachable the wide and natural sandy beaches and dunes with is clear turquoise water. Ideal for children, even very small ones.

Exceptional house!

Although not huge, the house is very nicely renovated, comfortable and well located. The surrounding (olive tree plantations, fig trees, view on the sea which is just one mile away) are fantastic.

Not what we expected

The accuracy of the list vs reality a total shocker. Arrived to a hot house full of bugs, no soap in bathroom, used sponge in the kitchen area, limited towels for three nights stay. Was notified that air conditioned was only in bedrooms and we had to pay on consumption. No where listed when we bought the stay!! Total disappointment!That was only arrival. Lost internet hot water and water service all in 2 days! Stinky water with bad smell was also a problem and all we got from host was how can help? When asked how to be compensated they advised this was a country experience! Not acceptable. Paid full price plus a/c for something I will not do again nor will recommend! Nightmare property!

Ganz tolles Haus. Super Lage. Ringsrum nur Olivenhaine und Felder. Sehr schöne große Außenanlage. Im Haus alles da. Auch Sonnenschirme und Handtücher für den Strand. Sehr gemütlich durch das schöne Rundgewölbe und den Naturstein.Großzügige überdachte Terrasse.Super netter und hilfsbereiter Vermieter. Danke Gerrit und Claudia. Haben uns total wohl gefühlt. Traumhafte Unterkunft mit toller Umgebung

Wir waren für eine Woche im Januar in der Unterkunft, die Vermieter sind sehr nett und immer für Fragen offen. Die Lage ist hervorragend um einfach mal abzuschalten! Und in der Umgebung gibt es wunderschöne Strände und Ortschaften. Das war mit Sicherheit nicht unser letzter Urlaub dort.

Bellissimo rurale restaurato con gusto e attenzione ai dettagli. Luogo meraviglioso immerso nella pace e nel silenzio. Colori del tramonto inimmaginabili. La casa è poi fornita di ogni attrezzatura, dalle stoviglie alla biancheria, dalla lavastoviglie alla lavatrice. Direi tutto perfetto. Consigliatissima.

Wer eine Unterkunft sucht, die abgelegen vom Tourismus Trubel ist ist hier richtig. Herrlich ruhig zum entspannen und alles, was man braucht (Gewürze, Hängematte, etc. ) ist vorhanden.

Super gelegenes Haus für Familien

Das Haus ist schön ruhig gelegen, unsere Kinder (7,6 und 2) konnten wir problemlos auch mal unbeaufsichtigt laufen lassen. Es gibt viel zu entdecken. Zum sehr schönen Strand dauert es mit dem Auto ca. 10 Minuten, genauso zum größeren Supermarkt. Das Haus hat uns insgesamt sehr gut gefallen, die Fotos repräsentieren sehr genau die Realität. Es ist tatsächlich genau so schön, wie es auf den Fotos aussieht. Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett, haben sofort bei Fragen reagiert und uns geholfen, uns ansonsten aber ruhig und in Ruhe unseren Urlaub genießen lassen. Alles in Allem war es ein schöner Urlaub, vielen Dank!

Ferienhaus Maruggio

Sehr schönes Haus mit dicken Mauern, welche die Unterkunft selbst bei sehr warmen Temperaturen erträglich machen. Wem das nicht reicht, kann die zusätzlich eingebaute Klimaanlage nutzen, wir brauchten sie nicht. Das vollständig ummauerte Grundstück war für uns fantastisch, weil unsere Kinder und der Hund toben konnten ohne Sorge, dass etwas passiert. Überhaupt, toll gelegen, richtig ruhig und auf dem Land. Hier kann man die Seele baumeln lassen und es stellt sich nach einem späten Frühstück und einem zweiten Kaffee gern die Frage, ob man denn überhaupt noch ans Meer fahren sollte. Natürlich, die Frage haben wir gegen Nachmittag oft mit „Ja“ beantwortet. Wenn die Hitze etwas nachlässt, ist der richtige Zeitpunkt, die max. 10 Minuten bis zum Meer noch anzugehen, bevor man sich Abends in eine der schönen Osterias vor Ort begibt, von denen man sich viele schon aus der „Tippliste“ der Gastgeber heraussuchen kann. Ausstattung wie beschrieben und alles TOP. Highlight die Dachterasse, die wir als Hobby-Astronomen mit unserem Teleskop bestückt Nachts gerne genutzt haben. Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett. Immer erreichbar und hilfsbereit. Bei der Zahnentzündung unseres Sohnes, waren sie sogar bereit, sich mit uns zu treffen und in Apotheke und zu Zahnarzt zu begleiten und Anrufe zu tätigen! Erlebt man nicht oft und an dieser Stelle noch mal ein großes Dankeschön dafür!

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt

Die Gegend, das Grundstück und das Haus haben uns sehr gefallen und wir wären gerne noch viel länger dort geblieben. Das Haus ist wirklich sehr schön, sehr hochwertig und praktisch eingerichtet. Küchenutensilien, Kaffee, Essig, Öl und Gewürze sind vorhanden und es hat genug Handtücher. Es gibt mehrere Sitzgelegenheiten auf dem Grundstück und auf der großen Terrasse sowie einen Grillplatz und eine Aussendusche. Es ist sehr ruhig und mitten in der Natur. Grundstück und Haus sind sehr sicher. Das Beste sind die sehr netten und hilfsbereiten Gastgeber. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Urlaub.

Peaceful, clean, delightful

We stayed one week at this house and completely enjoyed the experience. Our, hosts, Claudia and Gerrit, made us feel very welcome and show genuine concern that we were pleased with the property. It is located in the middle of Olive Ranches and is very private. The house and the grounds were very clean and we had everything we needed. It was very quiet to sleep and there was always a nice breeze to keep us cool. We particularly enjoyed spitting on the rooftop in the late afternoon. The sunsets and sunrises were fantastic. We look forward to coming back.

Wunderschönes Haus mit allem Komfort in toller Lage

A truly wonderful holiday home

This is one of those places that you would prefer to keep private but that would be unfair to the wonderful work that Gerrit and Claudia have put in to create this special space. The property is just as good as it looks in the photos and for our tastes the location was absolutely spot on. We really enjoyed the countryside location which also had good access to beaches together with access to numerous culturally interesting towns and cities.

Hervorragende Unterkunft in herrlicher Umgebung

Wir haben uns in den knapp zwei Wochen sehr wohl gefühlt in dem liebevoll renovierten und eingerichteten Haus. Alle Angaben der Objektbeschreibung treffen voll zu und garantieren einen erholsamen und ruhigen Aufenthalt. Die Lage mitten im Olivenhain und doch nah am Meer ermöglichen eine perfekte und ungestörte Erholung, ebenso die Nähe zu den vielen umliegenden Restaurants mit troller Küche. Die Vermieter vor Ort waren immer erreichbar und haben uns auch in Notsituationen schnell geholfen. Sehr empfehlenswert!!!

Tolles Haus, sehr gepflegt, super Umgebung

Wir haben 3 Wochen in den Haus verbracht und wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen. Das Haus hat alles was man für den Urlaub braucht. Genug Wohnfläche für 5 Personen, einen großen Garten wo man sich auch mal aus dem Weg gehen kann. Die Umgebung ist landwirdschaft geprägt und ruhig. Alles im allem ideal zum erholen. Wir werden sicher wiederkommen.

White sandy beaches, turquoise crystal water, lovely olive groves and vineyards, friendly and helpful people, mild temperatures and lots of sunny days in colder months, delicious genuine apulian cuisine and more than fair prices! We love to travel here outside high season, when you often don't sea anybody else in this area of Puglia. The ionian coast of Salento is the best and most beautiful in Europe.

Why they chose this property

Traveling around in the campaign of this area you will see plenty of those no longer used little "lamias" , formerly used by the farmers. They characterize the old puglian tradition. We love to spend our holidays in typical homes with a personal and individual touch and that's why we wanted to restore one of these old "houses", in full respect of local traditions and materials. This makes the difference to usual vacation homes and guarantees a unique and relaxing holiday you will remember
