I've enjoyed having a cocktail, reading a book, and eating watermelon on the front porch with friends and family at sunset. The gas stove in the living room is a great place to relax with a cup of coffee or glass of wine. The sunset is also beautiful from the living room. The 1st floor bedroom has its own exterior door that leads to an adirondack chair on a covered breezeway. It's also a great place to start the day in warm weather. The back deck lends itself to gatherings. The back yard is fenced so safe for dogs. There are many views and vistas from within and without Firefly Farmhouse. A large beech tree graces the front yard and an old barn is in the offing up the hill from the back of the house. The upstairs windows and dormers offer lovely wooded and pasture views. Even though the house is in a fairly rural setting it is still close to necessary conveniences and the charming square of downtown Winchester. Adjacent towns of Tullahoma, Cowan and Sewanee offer a variety of scenic, historical and healthy choices. The area is rich in Native American, Civil War and Civil Rights history. There are many places to hike. Chattanooga and Huntsville, Alabama are about an hour away.
