The location was ideal; private and quiet, but just minutes from Picton and the Wine Trail. Lots of seating, multiple rooms for hanging out, a beautiful deck overlooking the Lake and a wonderful fire pit for the evening.
Lovely property - plenty of room for 8 people. Gorgeous views. Very private. Everything you could possibly need in terms of kitchen equipment, dishes etc. Particularly beautiful kitchen/dining/lounge area. Good beds. Fans helped with heat upstairs in summer. Nice deck with outdoor furniture.
Great house. Kitchen is large and has everything you need. Nice comfortable TV room.

Do not book with this host. I would have left 0 stars but it was not an option. I booked the property in March for a small family reunion in August, with guests arriving from two different cities. When we arrived at check-in time, the house was already occupied by people claiming they had booked it through a different site. I immediately tried to reach the host, by message on the app, and by phone. She did not respond to either. I was left with no choice but to contact customer service. They were helpful, and immediately cancelled and refunded the reservation. But at 6 pm on a Friday night during peak wedding season in PEC, options to rebook for 6 adults were slim to none. There were no VRBO vacancies. This host was completely irresponsible and double booked the house, and then refused to help in any way.
The location and space is fantastic with a lovely decorated and well appointed large farmhouse. We had fantastic views of the lake and sunset and spent the nights outside by the fire after a full day of exploring the region. Jody was quick to respond to my inquiries and even thoughtfully provided birthday photo props when I explained we were celebrating a bday. Some areas which could bring this rating up to 5 stars is cleanliness (under beds, towels and around windows) and the comfort of the beds (very hard and noisy). Also there was no airconditioning which is fine with the lake breeze but the beds only had duvets, no sheets. All in all however, we had a fantastic weekend in PEC!!

Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed with our experience at your property.During our stay, we encountered a mouse several times in both the kitchen and the living room, and we also noticed mouse droppings in different areas of the house. This was both disturbing and concerning, especially as we were traveling with young children, for whom such conditions can pose health risks. The situation significantly affected our comfort. My eldest son, as well as my friend’s wife, had great difficulty sleeping due to the constant worry about the presence of the mouse. On top of that the barbecue is in a terrrible condition and we had to clean it extensively before usage..as well as the washer and dryer not in function…
