Kia ora! I’m Yvonne, from China but living in NZ since 2001. My hubby Jan is a Czech, and we have two awesome daughters, Ellie and Aya. Why they chose this property
We lived in this house for four wonderful years before moving to Mt Pleasant for school, but our love for this place has never faded. Sumner is a charming seaside suburb of Christchurch, New Zealand, just 20 minutes from the CBD and a 30-minute drive from the airport. Known for its beautiful beaches, stunning natural scenery, and endless outdoor activities, Sumner is also incredibly family-friendly.
If your idea of a perfect day includes lounging on a gorgeous city beach or trying your hand at surfing (check out “Learn to Surf” in Sumner), this location simply can’t be beaten.

What makes this property unique
Our home boasts stunning views, both inside and from the balcony, overlooking Sumner Beach. My husband, a surfer, loves being just minutes from the best local surf spots. Recently renovated with modern finishes, the house is ideal for relaxing or entertaining. Families with kids will feel right at home—we provide everything you need for fun-filled beach days, plus plenty of home entertainment for rainy days.
