Needs a good cleaning/Description deceiving
First off, the property listing on the website was incorrect. Had to get that cleared up.
Description said “all you need is your toothbrush.” Not true.
When we arrived, the check-in process felt rushed (a 26-page lease agreement? Really?) After signing and initialing that document very quickly (I did remember that it said “sanitized according to COVID regulations,”) he was gone. Nice guy though.
I did not realize we would have to wipe dirt/dust off of every surface, buy toilet cleaner (so disgusting), we spot cleaned the stained area rug and then later shampooed the whole thing. Judging by how many times the vacuum filled up before shampooing, I doubt it had been vacuumed well if at all before. Upholstery cleaner didn’t help much on the sofa so I would suggest putting a blanket or towel down before sitting on it. Very dirty! Three plugged drains (Draino that we bought fixed that), a mop that we purchased cleaned the wood flooring which still would not come clean, torn sheets, no toaster (we left a new one there), and some of the cookware needs replacing.
The walls are thin and if you open the blinds, other apartment tenants going by are right next to your window, so it’s not private and it’s very noisy (peoples’ conversations and dogs.)
The water was turned off because of a broken pipe on the street so we had no water at all our second and third days of our stay. It was not the apartment owner’s fault but it was very inconvenient. (Would have been nice to get a little discount for that?)
We were there for two months and believe we left it in better shape than when we arrived.
We did feel pretty safe. The location was nice with Main Street and all it has to offer and the beach within walking distance.
Because of its lack of cleanliness, however, I would not stay there again.
