About this property

Double Lake Cottage: You’ve Arrived

Back-in-the-day vacations are hard to find. Disconnecting from the stress of the networked life is a goal for many of us, but hard to achieve.  We have replicated our own family history of weekend retreats in a small and curated home offering a and recharging retreat just outside of Digby, Nova Scotia.

The large deck looks out over Porters Lake, so you can relax and enjoy the view, or get out on the lake for a paddle with the two kayaks available for your use.

We hope you enjoy the cottage as you unwind and enjoy the lake. The cottage - by design - has no television, but if you need to stay connected, the Wi-Fi connection is excellent.

The cottage is beautiful, clean and comfortable. The hosts are responsive and helpful. The property itself could use some landscaping as it's small and there's nowhere to go besides the upper deck when the grass is knee-high, especially for the dog, and unfortunately there is no dock or way of getting into the water for a swim without going through the sludge or getting into the kayaks which we didn't try. So would recommend water shoes if you want to go into the water. The cottage has everything you need for your stay including kitchen essentials, which is so important. Quality sheets and products, and a really nice porch to sit on. Beautiful window lighting. Thank you!
