Good location, apartment not amazing (please read before booking)

Overall, the property is in a great location and from the photos it looks fantastic. When we arrived the apartment was pretty clean but there was a musky, damp smell coming from the upstairs internal bedrooms. Because the apartment is a converted warehouse, these rooms didn’t have windows and so was very difficult to get rid of the smell. The outdoor area is great but smelt like gas when we arrived and the outdoor spa kept turning off every 20 minutes so was cold every time we went to jump in. The mini bar fridge was also not working correctly and was not keeping our drinks cold. When I messaged the host about this, they took a very long time between replies and said “I honestly don’t know, sorry.” We also ran out of hot water downstairs half way through our stay. The apartment has an amazing inbuilt Sonos speaker system but you’re not allowed to connect as a guest. The kitchen facilities also left a lot to be desired (i.e very worn glassware, only 1x very worn chopping board, minimal serving bowls and minimal cleaning items (e.g. chux etc.)). We also ran out of gas both inside and out so could no longer use the kitchen facilities after the first night of our stay. The kitchen is also very dimly lit and 2 out of the 3 pendant lights were not working. The red bin is stored at the bottom of the stairs inside so was also giving off a bad smell. Overall, a bit of a shame given we were very much looking forward to our stay but just didn’t live up to our expectations.
