8 guys in a hockey tourney thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Owners, Judy & Johan r helpful, welcoming, accommodating & gracious hosts. King, Queen, Bunk Beds & Couch queen sized pull-out, &/or room to sleep on 3 large couches. Huge screen TV in the spacious living rm, a great reclining Lazy Boy, dinner table for 6, well-equipped kitchen, great BBQ, great upstairs lounging deck, Wifi, etc. Quiet nights, security locked gate, safe & secure. Adjacent boating excursions & lots of watercraft passing in what's a very clean looking Marina. Downtown location is close to restaurants, grocery stores, liquor stores, craft stores, ferry landing, etc. Would gladly return & wishing Judy/Johan the very BEST!!!

My Husband and I moved from South Africa to Canada 6 years ago. South Africans are known for their hospitality and being very sociable. We have an open door policy .... The more the merrier and always room for one more.

Why they chose this property

There is something undeniably enchanting about the gentle rocking of waves beneath your feet and the ever-changing artwork of sky and shoreline beyond your window. To live on a revamped ferry boat is to surrender yourself to the rhythm of water and the promises it keeps—of adventure, tranquility, and a life less ordinary.
Perhaps the greatest luxury of living on a ferry is the view. While most homes look out on static streets or predictable gardens, your outlook is ever-evolving. Morning mist drifting over the water, a parade of moored sailboats & yachts the theatre of seabirds, Otters & Seals at dawn—each day brings new scenes, each sunset a private masterpiece. Even the weather feels intimate and immediate: storms rumble in with drama, and sunlight flickers on the ceiling as waves play beneath.
This constant change fosters a sense of connection—to nature, to the city skyline, or to the hush of a secluded inlet. You become an attentive witness to the world, shaped by the tides and the hours. It is a gift to wake up with the water and to sleep with it rocking you under the stars

What makes this property unique

Long before it became a dwelling, a ferry boat had a purpose: to carry people and stories across rivers, bays, and harbors. Every inch on board is steeped in history, humming with the echoes of laughter and footsteps lost to time. When you choose to make your home on a revitalized ferry, you inherit this legacy. The boat is not just a place to sleep or eat; it is a living testament to ingenuity and endurance. The spirit of travel, of journeys begun and completed, lingers in every corner.
