The Inn on the Avon is a terrific home base for visiting the Stratford Festival! It's walkable to theaters, shopping, and restaurants. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom with its heated floor and excellent shower was absolutely luxurious!

Excellent street level room at front of old-world Victorian type of house right on the river. Very clean and comfortable. Nespresso coffee—great stuff. Shower terrific. Best of all—fresh croissants magically appearing outside room every morning. Convenient to Tom Patterson theater, walking distance across the bridge. Quiet and comfortable.

Five stars hardly seems enough. This is a 5-star-plus-plus. It’s obvious that great care was taken in creating this lovely inn, using high quality finishes, furniture and fixtures. The room is cosy with a comfy bed and, for cooler temperatures, a working fireplace and a spa-like bathroom. Checking in and out is very easy. There’s an armoire with tv and coffee maker. Deliciously flaky croissants with butter and jam are provided in the morning. The hosts, Tracey and Kevin, are very welcoming and communicate well. They’ve created a little book for the room, which includes restaurant and shopping recommendations. Location is perfect, on the Avon, quiet but very close to everything, especially Stratford Festival venues. Highly recommend the Inn on the Avon. Hope we get a chance to come back.

Such an amazing stay. Hosts Tracy and Kevin were kind, responding to my every inquiry. The accommodations are top notch. I was there for the Stratford theatre festival and the Inn was walking distance to every event. I wish i could give it more than a 5 rating in every category.

Excellent, accessible, booking right near downtown

Our time away at Stratford for a couple shows was amazing, thanks to this great location. Less than a 20 minute walk (along the water!) to the Festival theatre, and even closer to Avon and others. We were just outside of downtown to have a good nights sleep, but close enough to easily walk downtown for some shopping and meals. The room is well equipped, the breakfast croissants were delicious, and best of all it was all quite accessible for my wife. Plenty of room to roll around in her wheelchair, small ramps in, and a roll in shower. Communication from the host was excellent, they were ready to assist with a couple small requests and they were proactive the rest of the stay. We are hoping to be able to stay here again in the future.

We loved our stay at Inn on the Avon. It is exactly as described online and even better in real life! The room is spacious, filled with light, and well-appointed, with cool touches (my Italian husband enjoyed a book on Friuli cooking). The bed is super comfortable with a lovely modern bathroom and shower, and the location is ideal. A river trail just outside winds along the beautiful Avon, and we were walking distance to all the theatres (especially the Tom Patterson) and the delights of downtown Stratford. Our hosts were welcoming and communication was prompt and always helpful. The only challenging moment for us, two fit and able seniors with poor eyesight, was the keypads on the locks - they are a bit hard to read :-) But that was a minor detail in a perfect stay. We highly recommend this treasure, and hope to return soon.
