This was the perfect place to stay over while heading through Arthur’s Pass! It had incredible views and Barrie was a fantastic host. Would highly recommend if you need somewhere to stop over while going through Arthur’s Pass.
We stayed in Cottage #1, it was comfortable ,super clean, everything we needed was there and worked, so that was much appreciated. But the real bonus staying here is getting to meet Barrie, the host - he was friendly, welcoming and great to talk to. If you are in the area, this is the place to stay.
Clean and comfortable cabin with delightful raised garden flowerbeds. We had a warm welcome from our host, who created a sense of community with our fellow guests staying in adjacent accomodation.

Clean and cozy. Quiet and comfortable. Thanks to Barry for stopping by to say hi.
This little but beautiful cottage is just what a couple needs to getaway from their usual lives or to celebrate an anniversary, as my Wife and I did. Very clean room/s, some of the best views right outside your windows and so very quiet. This place will definitely keep you at peace. The drive to the cottage is very pleasant and along the way to the cottage you get met with beautiful mountain terrain. Close to a few nice lakes and not far from Arthur's Pass either. Barrie is a great host and really does an amazing job at keeping everything maintained, even the mini golf was fun. Best way to really find out about this place, is quite simple... Book when you can and see for yourself.
Great location. Although advertised as a caravan park the advertisement gave the impression that the cabin was little bit more private than it was. We had a van parked outside our living area window so had to have the curtains closed most of the time. Other than that we loved our stay. Not far from Arthur’s Pass and the trekking that we wanted to do. No toiletries or milk supplied as in most accomodation we have stayed in.
The location, cabin and scenery The cabin was beautiful inside, new furniture and design, super comfortable and just comfortable! Didn’t expect much being middle of nowhere but it exceeded all expectations. The CASS was a beautiful location halfway on the Arthurs pass, highly recommend!!!Met the owner of the property, 38 years there! Lovely man and met the chickens and sheep!
