About this property
Whare Tōtahi Raglan - Accommodation
Escape solo, or with your special someone to our newly built whare, tucked away in a private setting, so you feel you are escaping the rat race, while also being able to enjoy it's close proximity to our local surf beaches, beautiful bush walks and Raglan Township. With the added bonus of Cala Cafe across the road, you won't even have to cook!
We provide everything you need for your mini escape, basic cooking supplies to toiletries, so all you need are your favourite snacks and clothes :)
We have recently created an intimate space, for solo travellers or couples, to enjoy some true time out.
Everything is provided, from linens to basic cooking items to tea & coffee making.
Just like our other accommodation further up the driveway, and just like at home, we do not have tv or microwave facilities, we do this to keep our homes as low frequency as possible, we hope you can enjoy this also :)
We are a short drive to Raglan township and a short drive to some of the most beautiful bush walks & beaches, a few of these are also within walking distance :)
We have Cala Cafe across the road, please see their website for opening times and bookings, they do Breakfast & lunch!
Overall, we really hope you love what we have created and you enjoy your stay :)
This tiny home/cabin is fully stand alone and private from our other accommodation and our main home, from time to time you may see us on our property up behind you on the hill, but you will not be disturbed :)
I am more than happy to meet with you in person upon your arrival, or please feel free to use the self check in with our lock box, located at our entrance doorway, to the rear of our decked area :)
We do have a lovely little English Staffordshire dog, His name is Nugget and he sometimes likes to visit guests! Even though he is super friendly and loves attention, we do not encourage this, so if you do see him sunbathing on your deck in the wee hours of the morning, please tell him firmly to go home :)
We think our property and the dwellings we have created are amazing! And we hope you feel the same, however, from time to time we do have the odd "feedback" given, so I would like to note these below :)
Road Noise;
Yes, we do live on the main road to all of the great surfing spots, so from time to time you will hear Vehicle/Road Noise, please be assured, that this is not all day/night, we do have peak times though, especially in Summer, which are mornings and sunset hours :)
Creepy Crawlies:
Yes, we do live rurally, so from time to time, you may see a spider, their webs, some ants, cockroaches or good ole fashioned flies! Trust me, we have done everything humanly possible to keep these at a minimum so the whare is mostly free of them
Septic System;
Whare Tōtahi has it's own septic and water system, we do ask that guests please respect water usage and also no sanitary items are to be flushed down the toilet, and please no fats/oils or coffee waste are to be tipped down the sink thank you :)
Please no shoes in our whare whatsoever
Please use the outdoor shower if you have been at the beach
Please no extra cars or guests, this is out of respect to our neighbours that share our driveway
If you use spray tan or heavy makeup, please let me know, so that I can provide darker linen and towels for your stay
Please, no children, as we have no railings on our decks
