Saksun is a wonderfully remote hillside village and is one of the most worthwhile destinations in the country. Known for its tranquil atmosphere, the tiny village of 14 inhabitants offers amazing views of the surrounding mountains.
It is obvious to explore the mountains, which are right outside the door of the cottage.
The Nearest village, which is Hvalvik is located 11 km from Saksun.
There are no fixed local buses running to Saksun. Nearest shopping opportunities are located in Oyrabakka, about 15 km from Saksun. To get the most out of the holiday, it's important that you have a car so you can get around. There is free parking associated with the house. With a car you can easily drive around the Faroe Island and explore the nature.
