If you are looking for a perfect place for a family, couple or small group to stay and relax, this is it. A short walk to the exciting Bishop Arts District and very close to Downtown Dallas means it’s easy to plan for fun day and night life activities. With all of the amenities, including a pool table and fully stocked kitchen, bathroom, and office space, staying in is a great decision as well.
We are dedicated to our guests having everything they need for their stay, and we provide a sanitized, safe space. If you would like to review our cleaning standards please let us know. Checking in and out is a breeze and can be done on your own (although we are in the area if you need help at any time). We hope to host you soon!

Very comfortable and familiar

We feel familiar with our stay here. Everything we need is here. Interesting property with history, art and clean comfort. Sleeping is easy. We enjoy a simple pool billiard game.

The personal touch was beyond amazing

The place was as advertised as anyone would hope and expect. The thing that sets S&S apart is that I felt like I was bumming a house from some friends of mine I have known my entire life. The peace and quiet was a given. I got more than I bargained for with everything else. And the everything else separates them from everyone else.

Wonderful - all the comforts of home

This property was amazing! Sarah and Sam have gone out of their way to provide every conceivable comfort of home. Snacks, games, plush towels and comfy linens... really everything you could possibly want. It is in easy walking distance to the Bishop Arts district that had many restaurants and cool shops, and is very close to downtown Dallas. It was honestly perfect in every way... but... I really wanted to give this property 10 stars, but there was one thing. The property managers required that we either purchase expensive damage insurance or put down a huge damage deposit. This requirement really turned me off. We knew we would not damage the property, so did not want to throw away three figures on insurance that was not needed. So we placed the four figure deposit, expecting that it would be promptly refunded after checkout. It is a REALLY LARGE interest free loan to somebody -- VRBO or whoever holds the money. It took us contacting the property owner once and VRBO twice to get our deposit back. I have traveled to many places around the world and never had to put up thousands of dollars damage deposit (or purchase insurance) at any kind of lodging. I don't know if these owners got burned and that's why they do this. I'm sorry if that happened to them. But it's a huge amount of money to have to hand over for a three day stay. Aside from that, this place was absolutely perfect and I highly recommend it, and would happily stay again. I hope the owners will reconsider their insurance/deposit policy.

Why they chose this property

We’ve loved the Bishop Arts area for as long as we can remember, so we were thrilled to be able to acquire this property! The layout of the space, it’s location, and the pool table Sarah’s mom gave to us lead us to realize what a great vacation rental this could be!

What makes this property unique

The space is walking distance from the fun and lively Bishop Arts District, which boasts a free streetcar that makes it easy and fast to get to downtown Dallas. There are many parks - including a few great, shaded disc golf courses! - nearby within walking distance. The 8’ pool table (which can be converted to a dining table as needed) makes this the perfect spot to relax and have fun with a few friends or your kids. The big front patio with serene walkways and plants and flowers offers a safe fire pit to relax and enjoy your company while watching the neighborhood stroll by. If you prefer more privacy outdoors, just head to the covered deck in the backyard setup with table and chairs and a hammock.
