I am a tour guide for the local area and often travel the world. I hope for explorers to use my house as a base for their adventures.
Why they chose this property
Banora Point is one of those rare places where life instantly slows down. Standing on the balcony, listening to the birds in the trees and looking out over the pool, there’s an immediate sense of calm. Mornings begin with soft light, gentle breezes, and the sound of wildlife waking up — the kind of peaceful start that makes you breathe a little deeper.
Nature effortlessly surrounds you here. Within minutes, you can wander along the Tweed River, watching mangroves ripple across the water, or set out on one of the many walking trails that wind through the region. Some paths are easy and scenic, while others lead into lush subtropical rainforest where waterfalls like Unicorn Falls appear almost unexpectedly at the end of a quiet track. A short drive brings you to coastal gems like Fingal Head, where the lighthouse watches over turquoise water, and the ancient volcanic landscapes of the Tweed hinterland sit right on your doorstep.
After a day exploring beaches, hills, trails or riverbanks, coming home feels like returning to your own little sanctuary. The neighbourhood is quiet and leafy, the afternoons warm and golden, and in the evenings you can sit outside listening to the breeze move through the trees as the birds settle in.
The area also has a lovely local charm — friendly cafés tucked into nearby streets, relaxed community pockets, and everything you need just a short drive away. And with the beaches only ten minutes from the door, you get the best of both worlds: coastal adventure by day, calming retreat by night.
For us, Banora Point is the perfect basecamp — a place to connect with nature, explore at your own pace, and truly unwind. It’s somewhere to recharge, to breathe, and to enjoy the simple beauty of being away from it all while still having everything close by.
