What we love to do & why we enjoy hosting
We love the simplicity of coastal living and the way time naturally slows down by the sea. Some of our favourite things to do are early morning beach walks, watching the sunrise over the ocean, and finishing the day with a soak at the hot pools. There’s something deeply grounding about being so close to the ocean — the fresh air, wide skies, and space to breathe.
We also enjoy spending time in Bottle Lake Forest, walking or cycling through the quiet forest tracks. Having both forest and beach so close together is one of the things we value most about this area — it gives you variety, balance, and endless ways to unwind or explore.
New Brighton has a strong sense of community, and we love being able to walk everywhere — cafés, shops, the pier, playground, and local events are all close by. It feels friendly, relaxed, and uncomplicated, which is exactly what we look for when taking a break.
We chose to become hosts because we enjoy sharing this special place with others. We want guests to experience the same sense of ease, rest, and connection that we feel here — whether that’s a quiet couple’s retreat, a family beach stay, or a few days to reset by the sea.
Our aim is to create a warm, comfortable space where guests can truly relax, feel at home, and leave feeling refreshed.
