Great for a large family! Bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and clean. We loved the bikes and pool and the vicinity to the beach was so close! Camille’s was a daily fav as well! We will be back to the Sugar shack!

Loved the sugar shack

The Sugar Shack was amazing. The back yard was perfect for 9 adults to have fun on sunny and even cloudy/rainy days. The short walk (or ride with a golf cart) to the beach was just a few minutes. The house had all of the amenities described and we absolutely loved the size and space. Destin commons and all of the grocery stores and walmart were only a few blocks away! Would absolutely rent again if in the Crystal beach area.

Friends spring break

Loved this house!!! Perfect for our group. We had 7 teenage girls in the bunk room, 2 preteens, and 2 moms. Will definitely book again.

Looking for paradise? Look no further!! With a pool, fire pit, and TV in the backyard...why leave to go to the beach? Which is few minutes walk!! Can't wait to go back!

Awesome pool and just a short walk to the beach. Home has everything you need, loved sitting in rocking chairs on front porch making memories. Quiet neighborhood, perfect for family getaway! Will definitely be back!

Wowza Women's Getaway!!

This property was fabulous! It was exactly as described. Two blocks from the beach, meticulously clean home and beautiful backyard. Highly recommend this property!

Wonderful Family Vacation Home

Excellent location and the one was plenty spacious for 7 adults. The backyard pool area is an awesome hangout area and makes for a wonderful vacation spot. Only down side was the grill barely works but that was a minor issue for us.

Our stay at Sugar Shack was amazing! The customer care leading up to and during our trip was incredible, and the house was perfect. Everything was clean, the kitchen was well equipped, and the outdoor space was exactly as dreamy as the pictures made it look. Everything was easy to use. I would highly recommend this property!

Access to the beach

The overall stay was great! We had a pool and the access to the beach was great. Great access to shopping and groceries. There was enough space for my whole family. There was the inconveniences of 2 different maintenance guys and a pool remolding guy stopping by that made us uncomfortable. The upstairs bathroom water didn’t get hot. This was minor because there are 3 other bathrooms to use. My mother would have loved an updated coffee pot because she stated "the coffee pot was rusted in the inside." So she couldn't use it. We would definitely stay here again. Possibly thinking about it for the winter!

Amazing

Sugar Shack is the best use of space we’ve seen yet, of all the places we’ve rented over the years. The house isn’t huge, but the use of space and the open floor plan makes the house feel much bigger. Don’t even get me started on the pool and outdoor spaces!!! 🙌

Memories at The Sugarshack

Great family memories at this property! Great location, the pool and outdoor space was awesome, and overall we would stay again. The only small issue was we could not turn off the alarm from the house going to the pool. I found out I guess it’s a law in FL due to children. We cooked plenty at the property, so make sure to bring your condiments etc. Not supplied from previous renters and not expected… Overall a great beach home and we would return.

Cutest ladies retreat

Booked the Sugar Shack for my little sisters bachelorette weekend. The whole place was absolutely perfect. Plenty of space for everyone, and the outdoor area was amazing for when we got beached out but still wanted to be outdoors. Plenty of pots/pans for cooking, just bring a couple common spices if you choose to cook. There was an issue with the air the night we checked in. We called the number they give out at 10pm and they had someone out by 8am the next morning to get it fixed. Really was a wonderful trip, and the Sugar Shack was a major part of the positive memories we made. I honestly hope I have another chance to travel to Destin just so I can rent the Sugar Shack again.

Wonderful 2 family vacation

The backyard area at the property is awesome. Beautiful pool and we were surprised when we got there to find the addition of a covered area to provide shade and extra seating that was not in the listing. Just the thing to provide some relief on a hot summer day. It would have been nice to have a small dresser in the master bedrooms. We had to live out of suitcases for our week long stay. The plumbing seems to have some problems in the master bathroom. Both sinks drain very slowly. The management company sent a handyman who tried and failed to fix it. Then they sent a plumber and he declared victory after using his hand as a plunger to force the water down. But at least after that we knew how to “fix” it too. Lol

Please Read if you Usually Prepare Food Yourself

This is a beautiful property with close access to the beach. We really enjoyed our stay. One thing that I was not prepared for is that this property is not set up for families that plan to prepare food at the property. If you plan on eating all of your meals at restaurants, this place is perfect. I believe this place is supposed to sleep up to 12. We had 10 with us. There really aren't many cooking utensils, pots, pans, etc. The grill is also not very big. We found it to be a struggle to prepare meals. Our routine is usually to only go to dinner once or twice a week and prepare the other meals at home. We ended up buying a lot of disposable aluminum pans and supplies to get by. Also, every house I've rental in Destin (or anywhere else) there is always a common courtesy between renters where things are purposefully left behind like spices, foil, etc. This place was bone dry! I can't blame that on the property management as it's possible that the previous renters took everything or maybe its some kind of covid policy, but that sucked. Honestly a great property just wanted to make people aware of the kitchen set up.

Great Backyard!

The pool and backyard for this place was perfect, you got direct sun all day and it made for a great place to get a tan with the family! I'd definitely stay here again! They had cornhole, TV area, 6 or so loungers, and a fire pit for smores/hanging. The property mgmt place was great and was in constant communication. The kitchen didn't have a lot of supplies so if you are cooking you might want to bring your own if you need things over than basic pots. The lounge chairs and kitchen chairs were very hard for my elderly parents, some cushions would have been useful as we had issues sitting everywhere. The houses are VERY close to each other and there were constantly parties going happening on both sides of the house, just something to keep in mind if you are looking for a quiet vaca. The house was nice overall but could have used some TLC from the constant rentals as there was wallpaper coming down, wear and tear in some spots, lots of marks on the walls, issues with the locks/toilet not working right, etc. All minor things but should be taken care of if you are paying $8k+ for a week to rent the place. Having said all that I would again, especially if the price was right... Short 5 minute walk to the beach. The beach setup was weird and you had to pay $60 for 2 chairs and 1 umbrella, there was only one small piece of land you could use if you brought your own or the ones the house provided, the rest of the beach was privately managed.
