About this property

Home with heart, on one of the most delightful streets in the centre

Welcome to our newly, fully renovated two-storey townhouse. Ours is a rare find on one of the most desirable streets in the city centre.

You'll live like a Christchurch local, feeling the warmth of a genuine home. (This comes from our own love for authentic accommodation when we travel.)

You have full, private access to the spacious—and blissfully peaceful!—townhouse. Relax in natural light on a residential street, only minutes walking to the best spots in the central city. Comes with one off-street carpark.

Why it's lovely:
— Both modern and cosy. New, premium wool carpet on both floors feels delightfully soft on your feet. Kitchen is fully-equipped with new appliances and the bathroom is brand new, full tile.
— It's a townhouse, not an apartment. Unlike many cookie-cutter builds in the centre, the townhouse was designed by a local architect, featuring geometric details.
— One of the best streets in town. Calm and idyllic, yet right in the heart.
— Skylight in the Main Bedroom. We love falling asleep stargazing and waking up to natural light. (If you don't want to be woken up by daylight, we recommend the Second Bedroom or bringing an eye mask.)
— Our “Aotearoa” road sign or selfie wall.

Please note: This is not a home for parties or loud music. Our neighbours are quiet families.

Access:
The townhouse is all yours during your stay. If you have questions, we live locally, always happy to help.

Parking:
One dedicated, off-street carpark.

Layout:
The place is spacious. On the ground floor, the open kitchen has new appliances. The dining area has a Regency wood dining table, perfect for family dinners (or using as a workspace area). The living area has comfy leather sofas and a Smart TV. There is a good-sized outdoor space.

Upstairs, the Main Bedroom has a queen bed and the Second Bedroom has two singles. For bedding, we chose premium natural materials over synthetics, including cotton and down. The bathroom’s been entirely remodelled, featuring a curved window and new fittings. Note: In the Second Bedroom, the two single beds are longer than a standard single but a bit more narrow. So larger adults may prefer sleeping in the Main Bedroom.

Walkable places:
- 5 min walk to eateries and shops along Victoria Street, Bealey Street, the Christchurch Casino
- 10-15 min walk to Hagley Park for beautiful walks and runs, Tūranga Library, Margaret Mahy playground, Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre, Christchurch Art Gallery, Canterbury Museum, Quake City Museum
- 20 min walk south to the Terrace, Riverside Market, shops galore, the iconic tram. For a local experience, you can walk 20 min to the east, and enjoy Two Thumb Brewing and Piko Wholefoods organic health store. Or if you walk 20 min north, experience a relaxed, authentic Christchurch neighbourhood with an array of restaurants and shops in Merivale.
- 28 min walk to One New Zealand stadium. This is a charming walk in the day strolling through the centre. Alternatively, you can catch the bus nearby or grab an 8-minute Uber / taxi ride.

Favourite bus routes:
- From / to the Christchurch Airport. Just a 5 min walk to the bus stop, and a 20 min ride.
- From / to The Tannery. A hub of creativity, eateries, and boutique shops. 8 min walk to the bus stop either side, 20 min ride.
- From / to Lyttelton. A seaside port village, with amazing arts and culture. 8 min walk to the bus stop, and a scenic 45 minute ride.
- Additionally, all bus routes go through the Christchurch Bus interchange, which is a 20 min walk away.
