About this property
Magical yurt in the woods, full kitchen! Haydenville, Massechusettes
A magical place in the woods inviting a return to your essential nature located amongst watershed land in Williamsburg, MA. Simple, quiet, and cozy, the space works in many wonderful ways, especially as a vessel for nurturing self-directed retreats like writing or meditation. The yurt has a full kitchen (stove, oven, cooking basics) and privacy from neighbours.
Many local trails including The Holyoke Range, The Berkshires Mountains, Graves Brothers Loop Trail, and Petticoat Hill Trail Loop. A 20 minute drive from vibrant Northampton, MA.
The space:
The Yurt is located on a shared piece of land, but your stay is tucked in a private wooded area. The Yurt is heated by a wood-burning stove, and is a wonderful stay year-round.
We are a twenty-minute drive from the vibrant downtown of Northampton, MA.
The Yurt is a short drive to MASS MoCA, Green River music festival, Tanglewood music festival, and Jacob’s Pillow. We are moments from Snow Farm!
The Yurt is a wonderful place for parents to stay when your kid graduates from one of the Five Colleges: Smith College, Amherst, Mt.Holyoke, Hampshire, and U. MASS.
Guest access:
The Yurt is your own private sanctuary tucked amongst trees in the back of a shared plot of land. The Yurt has a cozy queen bed and a bed-side desk and reading chair, a full kitchen and dining table, and a wood-burning stove to heat the space.
The bathroom is located in the basement of the main house, a couple meters walk, and has full plumbing, a warm-water shower and sink, and natural body and hair products. There is an outdoor shower for communal use when the weather is nice!
Other things to note:
There is no wifi and minimal phone service in the Yurt. Access to wifi from the main house is available in the basement of the house near the bathroom, and phone service improves as you walk closer to the main house and driveway.
It's important that guests of the Yurt are a good fit. If it is your first time staying at the Yurt, your host (Carolyn Shakti) will be in touch with you once you book, and again the week of your arrival to ensure you're all set for the magic that awaits!
