The Space:

Welcome to Vista al Mar, this newly built, design-forward holiday home has showstopping views over Golden Bay. Inside, you'll find a relaxed open-plan layout with a fully equipped kitchen, complete with dishwasher, oven, and microwave, comfy lounges, Smart TV, and WiFi. Large sliding doors open to a sun-drenched deck, perfect for BBQs and evening drinks. The main house sleeps four across two bedrooms (one with zip-link beds for flexible arrangements). Need more space? A separate sleepout with a king bed is available for extra guests above 4 pax — great for friends, grandparents, or teens wanting extra privacy. Guests are welcome to bring their own linen. If you'd prefer to do so, just let us know and we’ll refund any automatic linen hire fees that may have been applied.



Guest Access:

Guests have private access to the entire main house, deck, and outdoor BBQ area. On-site parking is available and space to park a boat. Self check-in is via lockbox. Check-in instructions will be provided before arrival.



The Neighborhood:

Located just 4 minutes from Pōhara Beach, you’re close to local cafés, the general store, and the Pōhara Boat Club. This is a peaceful, elevated spot that feels private yet still connected to everything Golden Bay has to offer.



Getting Around:

A car is recommended to explore the area. Just 10 minutes to Tākaka, and within easy reach of beaches, bush walks, and local attractions.



Other Things to Note:

Guests are welcome to bring their own linen – otherwise, a linen hire fee applies. The second bedroom has zip-linked beds that can be made into a super king. Please let us know your preferred bed setup before arrival. A basic starter pack of tea, coffee, and toiletries is provided. For longer stays, you may need to top up. The house is self-catering. We kindly ask guests to clean BBQ after use and leave sandy shoes outside. Check-in instructions will be provided before arrival. This is a non-smoking property. Smoking is only permitted outside, away from open doors and windows.
