About the host
Hosted by Véronique Dufresne
Hi I'm Véronique but most people call me Vé (rhymes with hey). I'm originally from Ontario and have been living in Calgary since 2017. I love thrifting, the outdoors and interior design.
Whether you are coming to Calgary for a weekend getaway or you are traveling from a different country-it makes me so happy and honoured knowing that my Airbnb hopefully had a small part to play in the lifelong memories you will create traveling to Calgary, Canada or with your loved ones.
I really put so much heart, thought and creativity in each Airbnb I have because I really do want to create a special experience for you during your travels.

Why they chose this property
The neighborhood of Erlton is absolutely my favourite part of the Airbnb! And one of Calgary's hidden gem.
You are still downtown but not in the middle of it. It's a 5 minute walk to the Stampede Grounds, LRT station and Scotiabank Saddledome. Also a quick walk to grocery stores and restaurants.
The elbow river is at the end of the street which is such a luxury as there are only two main water sources in Calgary. Sometimes on my morning walk, I see beavers swimming around. In the summer, everyone spends their days by the river and treat it like a beach!

What makes this property unique
I had so much fun making this a Stampede themed short term rental! Every single decor detail was chosen with intention to make sure you have the best experience possible. For example, I made custom denim wall art of local mountains and the majority of the items are sourced locally to really make sure you get the Alberta experience!
Check out my other listings- Stampede Saloon and Howdy House which are other Stampede-themed Airbnbs.
