Lovely peaceful location

Relaxing weekend break

Clean and tidy with a well stocked kitchen. Good location close to the beach. If you like a quiet seaside location, Bawley Point is the place.

Rainy but enjoyable

A rather wet two weeks but Bawley as enjoyable as ever. Very comfortable and well-equipped property.

Great location and tranquil outlook

The house is well located and is only 2 minutes walk to the nearest beach. The back verandah has a wonderful outlook through large eucalypts to a lagoon. The beds are very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and hope to come back.

Great place

Couldn't ask for more in the home. Kitchen was well equipped, comfy bed. The BBQ should not be advertised; BBQ mats are supplied to cook on, but you'll still have rust in your food. The house itself cannot be faulted, it's a great place to stay.

Bawley retreat

We enjoyed a few tranquil days at Bawley Point. Several beaches within walking distance and several more a short drive away. We enjoyed sitting around the fire in the back yard in the evenings. The kitchen is well stocked with dishwasher and everything you need (apart from an oven tray)!. Beds were very comfortable!

Family time in Bawley Point

Great place to have our family holiday with adult kids and a dog. Very quiet close to the reserve leading to Cormorant Beach. House was clean but lots of cobwebs needed to be dealt with on arrival as we opened the windows. Have better cleaning equipment available if the house is to ge left as you find it would be great such. As a decent broom or mop. Other than that we love this place and enjoyed our stay.

do not stay here!

property is dirty, nothing works (apart from the smoke alarms that can't be silenced), and is managed by shonky real estate outfit that only works business hours and won't respond when the water supply runs out (as it did).

Lovely place in lovely location. Pity about the mobile reception

An original house in excellent condition. The ad had disclaimer about how sparsely equipped it was, but we found it was very well equipped. Lovely outlook onto big trees, lots of bird life. Huge detractor however was with no wifi and hopeless reception with both Telstra and Optus, we were largely without internet for a week. We paid thousands, wifi is cheap. Would not return without wifi.

Perfect location

House was tidy and perfect layout for 2 young families. Was advised the property was pet friendly with secure back yard yet that isn’t the case. My small dog fits through the top balcony fencing and on the lower ground there is no fencing at all. Enjoyed our stay as the location is great. If you are going with small children take some dvds as there isn’t any for the young ones. No wifi and not much reception. All in all an enjoyable weekend

Bawley Point is wonderful but this house is not value for money

The house was clean, had a comfortable queen bed and a well equipped kitchen but no functional tv despite being advertised as having one. So much for watching DVDs over the Christmas holidays. Outside, the property felt neglected. Overall, disappointing.

Great place but filthy dirty when arrived

Good house in excellent location. Very well equipped, everything you could want for cooking. Huge balcony that is very secure for your pet dog. Only thing was it wasn’t cleaned from previous guests when arrived so had to spend first couple hours of holiday cleaning which isn’t fun after long trip. I understand these things happen so it’s ok. They said they’d refund our cleaning fee or offer some kind of compensation but didn’t so that was disappointing.

Family beach trip

The location and set up of the house is great. Very close walk to a number of beaches and lovely elevated and private deck with bushland setting was a great place to relax, read and enjoy an afternoon drink and evening meal. The pet friendly listing and advice was confusing and the only regret of the stay. We would have loved to have brought our dog but the suitability of the property is not clear on the listing, with no perimeter fencing. However, upon arrival the enclosed deck during the day and the downstairs laundry for night would have worked for our golden retriever and we now know that all the nearby beaches are very dog friendly. Overall a great stay and next time we would certainly bring the dog.

What a Shame!

The best word to summarise our stay is: disappointing. We arrived at the location. It was not easy to find due to the lack of a house number and the overgrown and poorly maintained driveway. The moss/lychen/leaf covered roof of the house and the spider covered windows added to the poor first impression! Arriving in the rain, the deck was slippery. A pressure wash would remove the mossy surface. Internally, the house was clean and adequate At more than $300 per night, I would’ve expected better and not have to pay an extra $70 for linen hire. The back yard was similarly poorly maintained with bits of old bricks, fencing and old wood lying around. As I said at the start: disappointing!!
