Perched high on a peak and surrounded by trees our family friendly home on 1/3 acre lot is private and spacious with a panoramic view of Lake Koocanusa. Relax with a drink and enjoy the outstanding view of the lake on the enormous covered deck. Ample inside space that sleeps 8 comfortably in 3 bedrooms that each have a full bathroom. Includes a 40' covered RV or boat parking area that fits two cars. Abayance Bay Marina is a 1 minute drive and a 10 minute walk down the hill.
The house is located on top of the hill at the end of a cul de sac. It's a 10 minute drive west of Eureka, about 90 minutes drive south to the Kalispell Airport, and about 4 hours drive from Calgary.
The Master Bedroom has a king bed and smart TV, the kids bedroom has a queen bed and a bunk bed set, and the other bedroom has a queen bed. Each bedroom has an attached full bathroom. The well-appointed living room spills out into the beautiful southwest facing timber framed covered deck that has a 180 degree view of Lake Koocanusa. The layout is ideal for two families with kids.
The Rexford area has boating, hiking, golfing, fish all year around, snowmobiling, and biking. There are vast tracts of US Forest Service land around Lake Koocanusa that can be used by the public so you will never run out of new places to explore. The Abayance Bay Marina is on the 50 mile long Lake Koocanusa that has crystal-clear waters and abundant fish species. It offers a free public swim area, a boat launch, boat slips, and rental boats, jet skis, kayaks, paddle boards, and water skis/tubes. It also has an excellent restaurant, boat repair shop, and it hosts many concerts throughout the summer. Check out the list of performers on the Abayance Bay website.
There is a free boat launch and swim beach nearby at the Rexford Bench Campground in Kootenai National Forest located about 5 minutes drive from Abayance Bay Marina.
The house has two smart TV’s for streaming shows/movies. There is a good selection of free shows/movies and Netflix and Prime Video. For other paid shows/movies, please use your own streaming subscription.
There are many activities to enjoy in the area such as:
- golf at Indian Springs Golf Course in Eureka or at The Wilderness Club which is Montana’s top rated course.
- The "Pacific North West Trail", which follows along the Lake Koocanusa shore line is close by and great for hiking and mountain biking.
- The Stonehenge Air Museum is about 30 minutes drive from Abayance Bay and is a wonderful place that houses about 30 vintage restored airplanes and can be toured by appointment. A tour of the Stonehenge replica on the private golf course is a must at the end of the Museum tour.
- Rexford Bench Swim Beach, which also has a free boat ramp with access to Lake Koocanusa and Tobacco River. Great place for Kayaking and Standup-Boards.
- The Koocanusa Sand Dunes and Trail System is a hidden gem in Montana, offering an exhilarating off-road experience. Located in the northwestern corner of the state near the Canadian border, this expansive off-road playground spans over 20 miles of diverse trails, showcasing a mix of sand dunes, forests, and winding roads.
