Located just 28 minutes from Wangaratta, this charming tiny house overlooks the peaceful Winton Wetlands, offering a relaxing countryside escape.



Beyond the property, there’s plenty to explore—Winton Raceway is just 20 km away, while the King Valley (“Little Italy”) is perfect for wineries and local food. For outdoor fun, Lake Mulwala and Lake Nillahcootie are nearby, and in winter, Mount Hotham’s snowfields are within easy reach. Alternatively, unwind in Benalla, the “Rose City,” known for its beautiful gardens and family-friendly spaces.



This cozy 139-square-foot tiny home comes with easy access to water, split-system air conditioning, a kitchenette with cooking equipment, and full bathroom facilities. There’s plenty to explore during your stay at our tiny house, like Baileys of Glenrowan Winery for tastings, casual meals, and live music, as well as the historic town of Glenrowan, known for its local produce, shops, and Ned Kelly heritage tours. Guests can also enjoy the Winton Wetlands Café within walking distance, set among scenic trails, picnic spots, birdwatching areas, and family-friendly spaces.



For essentials, Benalla is just 24 km away with supermarkets, pharmacies, and local shops. The region also hosts vibrant events throughout the year, including the Benalla Festival in November, a Country Music Festival in June, and autumn highlights like the Art of Flight balloon event and the Benalla Street Art Festival, offering a lively mix of culture, art, and community experiences.



Getting Around:

By Car:



- Mokoan Homestead is approximately 2.5 hours from Melbourne via the Hume Freeway, and just 20 minutes (24 km) from Benalla. The property is easily accessible by 2WD, with sealed roads all the way.



By Public Transport:



- Guests can take a V/Line train from Southern Cross Station in Melbourne to Benalla Station, where pick-up can be arranged. However, having a car is recommended, as there is no public transport near the property. We can also assist with transfers to nearby spots such as Glenrowan, the Milawa Cheese Factory, and local wineries.

- Laundry (Washer) in the property is available

- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
