Nice house in the middle of the village
We enjoyed our stay in the house. When you enter the arched wooden doors to the little alley the house is on the right hand side and the utility room is opposite.
We appreciated that:
The house is very clean and well equipped.
Despite being in the centre of the village it is nice and quiet.
Both bedrooms have pleasant views over the rooftops and the beds are comfortable.
The shower works well and the house has two toilets
There is paid parking nearby and a free car park about 10 mins walk away.
Arranging check in was very easy.
The only drawbacks are that:
The living room is a little dark, despite two windows to the alley.
The duvets and pillow and mattress protectors that were put out for us had been used. We brought our own sheets but it would have been nice to have fresh duvets and protectors to put them on. I think it is common not to wash bedding between rental stays but if done, I think it really improves the experience.
The rubbish needs to be taken to the town bins in the port which is about 15 mins walk away.
Suggestions:
It was difficult to navigate the village one way system to get to the church square parking, and google also got confused. The tourist office kindly drew me a map.
It would be really helpful if the owner left a map like this which also marked where the rubbish can be disposed of.
It would have been really good to have another chair, rather than just the sofa. Perhaps flipping the layout with a smaller dining table and more seating.
