About this property

Luxury Cabin Getaway

This is a 1560 square foot log cabin located in the heart of the Cross Timbers Wildlife Management Area. The property is secluded in the middle of our 67 acre ranch. The Living Room features large windows overlooking the open field in front of the home along with a beautiful wood burning fireplace. Has a large fully stocked kitchen with a sitting bar. Master suit has a king size bed with master bath. French doors open to the front porch, perfect for watching the wildlife with your morning cup of coffee. Bedroom #2 has a full over queen bunk bed with comfortable memory foam mattresses. Also has pull out single treadle bed. Bedroom #3 is a cozy room with a queen size bed. There is also a couch and roll away bed for addition sleeping arrangements if necessary.
Property also features a large deck on the backside of the home and fire pit.There is a gas grill and a wood/charcoal grill.
Falconhead golf course is 10 minutes away, Winstar and Lake Murray a 30 minute drive. Also, with a short drive across the Red River, you can visit several North Texas wineries.

The house was wonderful for our Christmas stay! We had three families converge from across the country and we all were comfortable and found everything we needed for cooking every meal. We saw coyotes, deer, armadillos and an eagle. Our stay couldn’t have been better.

Very quiet and relaxing!

Great place to stay if you want peace and quiet. Watching the deer, turkeys, and cattle each morning added to the experience. Will definitely be returning in the future for another visit!

Spring break family getaway

Had a wonderful experience at this cabin! It is beautiful, clean, comfortable and plenty of space for everyone. The yard is fenced and perfect to let the little kids get out and play. The owner was so nice, quick to respond and the check in/check out process was a breeze. 10/10 we would absolutely rent here again.

Comfortable and pleasant

A nice place for a family visit spotted a few deer lots of trees pastures horses and cattle in the area. It was good to set and visit on the porch and drink coffee. The kitchen was well appointed and more than sufficient for the six in our party. Comfortable bedrooms and living areas.

just a short getaway

My wife and I with our two dogs just wanted to take a little short trip to getaway for some fun and found this house and liked the reviews and pics. Very pleased with the whole process, dealing with owner and vrbo and will consider going back to this place in the future. Very nice house and super quiet. Far enough from the road that we didn't hear the traffic. We saw deer every morning we were there, about 4 mornings, heard pigs in the distance, and some other wildlife. We were very pleased with the whole trip. Thank you Duane!

Quiet and Remote

Myself and two travelling friends were delighted with the accommodations. Rustic and comfortable are the themes of the cabin. One note - take all the provisions you need. The closest eating establishments and grocery stores are about a 30 minute drive away. Stock up and enjoy the serenity.

Spring Break Cabin

We enjoyed our 2 night stay at this property. It was clean and well equipped. We spent time walking the expansive property and enjoyed the outdoors while the weather was nice. Cozy country get away

We were looking for a place to stay while visiting family, but wanted a place that was off of the beaten path. Although the cabin is a little ways out, the roads are all paved and is an easy drive. This was exactly what we were looking for! The property was so peaceful and quiet. The home was cozy, comfortable and well equipped for cooking in the home or outside on the deck. There are porches all around the house, which were great for having coffee and viewing the wildlife! Duane dropped by the first day to welcome us and was quick to respond to questions. We will definitely stay again when we return to see our family.

Perfect!

Nice cozy cabin! It was just the perfect for our family with children and pets. I loved the fact that it was fenced in! Property in general, was in excellent shape, very clean. Deer come up at different times during the day. There are excellent views from all 4 corners of the cabin. Owner was in contact via text almost immediately after the stay was approved. He was very responsive and accommodating. We will definitely try to make it back during the spring.
