About this property

Gateway to Usa Jingu & Kunisaki | Kominka Stay | Kamisama and Hotokesama

The name "Kamisama to Hotokesama to" was inspired by the unique culture of Usa and Kunisaki, where Shinto and Buddhism have coexisted for more than 1,300 years.

Experience a unique stay in Usa, a region where Shinto and Buddhism have coexisted for centuries.

Located near Usa Jingu, the head shrine of all Hachiman shrines in Japan, our traditional Japanese house offers an opportunity to explore the rich spiritual heritage of the Kunisaki Peninsula and Rokugo Manzan culture, where temples, shrines, and nature have been deeply connected for over a thousand years.

The house is a renovated traditional home consisting of two connected buildings, creating a spacious and distinctive layout with a nostalgic atmosphere. With 138 ㎡ of private space, it is ideal for families, friends, or travellers seeking a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Free parking is available directly in front of the house. Check-in and check-out times can often be adjusted when possible, so please feel free to ask.

The house is equipped with five air conditioners, a washing machine, and a clothes dryer to help make your stay comfortable.

As this is an older Japanese home, you may notice seasonal characteristics such as summer heat or winter cold. We do our best to ensure a pleasant stay while preserving the charm and character of the building.

You may also encounter some small aspects of rural Japanese life, such as area cats or the sound of a morning siren. We hope these become part of your experience of the local countryside.

Whether you’re visiting Usa Jingu, exploring the temples of Rokugo Manzan, cycling through the countryside, or simply looking for a quiet place to slow down, we hope you’ll enjoy your time here.

✴︎
This is a traditional Japanese house available for exclusive rental, serving as a base for exploring Usa Jingu and the Kunisaki Peninsula.

Located in a quiet residential area, the inn offers a spacious 138 ㎡ area available for exclusive use by a single group. It’s perfect not only for family or group trips but also for anyone looking to enjoy a leisurely stay.

Please use this as a base for your travels to experience the nature and culture of the Kunisaki Peninsula, including Usa Jingu—the head shrine of all Hachiman shrines nationwide—as well as the temples and shrines of Rokugo Mansan and the beautiful rural scenery of Tazome-so.

We offer free parking, making it convenient for sightseeing by car. Equipped with air conditioning, a washing machine, and a clothes dryer, we can accommodate guests staying for multiple nights.

I have lived in Usa for over 10 years and can provide local information, including recommendations for temples, shrines, and dining spots.

This is a area where traditional rural life still thrives—you might see stray cats roaming the streets or hear the morning siren. I hope you’ll enjoy a stay that truly captures the essence of this area, including these kinds of scenes.

I hope your trip will allow you to discover the charms of Usa and the Kunisaki Peninsula and grow to love them.
