Great stay with family and friends, old school!

This is a neat property, directly across from the beach access, and great if you don't mind a little rustic experience, althought there is color television and WIFI! We had a great time and reminded me a being a kid at Edisto, a little adventure back in time! Thank you for being a gracious host!

The third day we felt really good.Our grandson and us were going to the beach around 10am, coming back late afternoon.The house is perfectly located on the boulevard and the access to the beach.The first day we got in, looking for bathrooms, got welcomed by the kitchen and it blue formica, looked for a way to go downstairs, you have to take the outside stair which by the way caused me to get a splinter and loose blood We were looking for a patio, there is none, so you look to the ocean behind windows and between houses.The shower door fell of the guide, almost on my feet.The remodel of the house is not a success! It got 5 bedrooms, one without window treatment (long nights) and facing traffic!!The house grows on you! But I still believe 500 /night is sharp to be on the Blvd.

We are sorry to hear the first day felt disorienting as you got settled in. We do want to note that the separate entry staircase and layout of Beachwood are features of the home's design that are described in the listing, as the ground-level suite operates with its own private entrance - a setup that many families appreciate for the added independence it provides. That said, we completely understand that arriving somewhere new and navigating an unfamiliar layout can take some getting used to, and we are sorry the transition wasn't smoother. We have already addressed the shower door, so that will not be an issue for future guests. We also appreciate your feedback on the window treatments and will take a look at that bedroom. Beachwood is one of our classic Edisto cottages and is priced to reflect that character for a 5-bedroom home steps from the beach. If a more updated style is ever a preference, we have a number of more modern properties that may be a great fit for your next visit, and our team would be happy to help you find the right match. Big Chilling

Great old school beach house vibes. Especially the second level- wide open floor plan and lots of comfy furniture. Big communal table and big, well-equipped kitchen. Our group of 10 adults were very happy. One row off the beach directly across from access. Two thoughts: contrary to the listing there were no laundry facilities and the very limited outdoor space was a negative with the beautiful weather.
