Loreto Luxury
This is a “wow” property. When you walk into the courtyard and see the pool and the sea of Cortez you know you are home. House is really spacious for 4 people. All the bedrooms are large and beds are comfortable. Bathrooms have plenty of counters and showers are large. Kitchen has a huge island and work space you need. The patio is awesome. The Mexican tile work is phenomenal. Plenty of chairs and tables and the Sea is right there. The morning sunrise is beautiful. We had some small issues with the AC, water and toilets but Kathy was responsive and she had her “guy” come over to fix the issues. There are no bikes or kayak but have 2 paddle boards that we used. The last mile to the house in “gringoland” the locals name for the housing development is a dirt and rocky road. Bumpy and dirty. You definitely need a car to go into town. Lots of new homes going up here but the marina area and the Plaza are the places with restaurants and shops. We like the plaza the best. Loreto is not Cabo. This is a small town and you are conversing with the locals a lot. There are a lot of roaming dogs and cats at the house, beach, restaurants and city center. There was a black and white cat that showed up every day at the house and we named her Panda. It is an oddity of the town but works. Finally we took 3 snorkeling trips with both tour companies and had a blast. The reefs are a wonderful experience. we played golf at TPC and Loreto golf resort too. TPC is well worth the big price tag and the drive is pretty cool. Awesome mountain course with great holes and spectacular scenery. Loreto golf is a dog track with horses on the course and some pretty beat up fairways. They keep the greens in nice shape so it’s playable. The back 9 has 6 fantastic water/ocean holes that make it worthwhile. Keep your expectations low and it works. Overall It is a great spot and highly recommend the house and the city.
