We left 3 days early as the property was not equipped as promised. No washer which we had planned to use as we travelled light and Aix in July is steaming. No AC in 3rd bed which we needed to use for remote work. Dishwasher broken and dishes in cupboard dirty. Of course, property did not refund any of our reservation and VRBO hasn’t responded to our request for assistance. Owner had also offered that we could check in a day early when our travel plans changed but only if we paid cash. Foolishly I agreed and after no responding to multiple messages requesting check in time, he said we could only stay in apartment in Marsaille or a studio in Aix. For the same cash price. We quickly booked a hotel. Our recommendation would be to avoid this property. If you book, know that you are a 40 minute walk each way into center of town.

Bonjour en fait Jean était absent juste sa femme et sa fille qui étaient déranger par le fait que les chambres n’étaient pas assez grande par rapport à leur niveau de standing au USA et que mes voyageurs précédents ont range ´ la vaisselle de la machine sans faire attention à la propreté encore désolé une seule étoile je trouve cela vraiment injuste avec la Climatisation dans toute la maison alors qu’il fait 40 degrés en extérieur pas très sympa :((

L'intérieur est neuf, le dernier étage très beau et a été agréable pour un séjour d'une famille avec enfants.

Misleading / Deceitful Listing

Stay away from this listing — the owner is not being honest about where the property is located. Both the location on the VRBO website as well as what he mentions in his property description (“7 minute walk from the Aix train station”), or alluding to it being close to the tourist office, are false. In reality it is in the southeastern part of the city in a suburban area, about a 30-40 minute walk from the city center. He tried to blame VRBO when we confronted him about it but the details in the description as previously mentioned are consistent with the inaccurate location shown on the VRBO map. Additionally, at one point when some of our group were hanging out on the balcony (it was fairly late but we were talking quietly), the owner abruptly walked into the property without alerting us and told us to be quiet. We were all pretty uncomfortable and found it invasive that he barged in unannounced, especially as some people were sleeping and using the restroom. We were also informed a few hours before check-in that the AC did not work in two of the bedrooms, which we were counting on. But we are not a particularly high maintenance group, this was far less of an issue than the two other items mentioned. On the positive side, we found the accommodations nice enough and reasonably well maintained. But that is all we can say positively. I have never left a negative review for a VRBO or similar property before but we felt compelled to do so here.

Séjour entre amies

La maison était très propre à notre arrivée et la communication avec le propriétaire facile. 3x chambres de 2 couchages et 2x canapés lits dans le salon (avec un volet roulant cassé, masques de nuit à prévoir pour les personnes craignant le jour) Toutefois, il est à noter que la maison n'est pas à louer pour un séjour festif. Nous étions 10 amies trentenaires, et le voisin s'est manifesté à 23H parce que nous dinions sur la terrasse et le lendemain à 10h du matin parce que nous prenions notre petit déjeuner sur la terrasse. Le propriétaire s'est montré à l'écoute et s'est déplacé sur les lieux, mais cela a rendu le séjour un peu stressant.

Propriété très sympa, un peu plus éloigné du centre que ce que l'on pensait mais très agréable ! dommage pour nous il ne faisait pas beau pour profiter de cette belle terrasse mais nous nous sommes régalés. De plus Michel était très arrangeant et sympathique !
