We stayed here over Graduation weekend, after a morning graduation, we had a BBQ on the back patio with friends and family. Everyone had a wonderful time.
Our host and hostess treated us like family. The setting for the home we stayed in is exceptional! The house was clean and inviting. We have already recommended it to friends, and we look forward to returning.
We had a great stay and Tawney was able to make additional accommodations for extra people. The place is quiet and we enjoyed visiting with them. Would stay again.
This was a very nice quiet country setting. I wasn't expecting it but was served breakfast. Nice porch to to sit on and relax. Wifi available and refrigerator to put some things
Tawny is a wonderful host and you feel part of the beautiful Nelson Family the moment you arrive. We are city folk and loved the natural beauty of their endless property. We had a once in a lifetime experience riding in Tawny's husbands combine during harvest. We will be back when we pass this way.
My husband and I love to stay in VRBO properties when we travel to visit our daughter at University of Idaho. The Nelsons' home was very easy to get to and the accommodations were quite comfortable. The rooms are in the main house upstairs, but we were the only ones who used that space. We were warmly welcomed and had a lovely visit with our hosts the first morning we were there. We would happily stay here again.
We had never stayed in a VRBO where you share the house with the owner. Tawny is a great host! If you are looking for a stay that is away from town, this is it. Set on a farm, you can see for miles. The hosts allowed me to check out their harvesting up close! Beautiful location. We will return.
Loved being out in farm country and learning about the owners' experiences and interests. Very friendly people. Loved seeing the whole night sky with no ambient light interference while hearing coyotes in the distance. Loved the morning and evening light on the golden fields.
While there was a terrible family accident that occurred while we stayed at the home, the situation was handled with as much grace as possible. We felt very welcomed and hoped there was more we could do to help.
It was our first time staying in a shared rental. Tawny just took over helping my kids, reading to them, letting them play with any toy. Felt like staying at grandmas house for them.
I can speak highly enough of Tawny, the owner. I was moving my daughter into WSU for her freshman year. On the way to the house, our car broke down. We got a cab to the house. Next day, Tawny insisted on taking us to the car rental place in Pullman. When Tawny welcomes you into her home - you are instantly family!
If you want a place to get away from it ALL this is the place. Tawny is a FANTASTIC host. Ours was a family vacation with 6 adults. We had 3 of us on motorcycles and 2 vehicles that had height restrictions. If you ride motorcycles come in on Spence Road . Don't follow Google maps. You'll be fine on Spence road. Tawny and Jeff's place is absolutely fabulous out in the country. We enjoyed chilling out on the front deck. Watching the full moon rise and spending time together. If solitude is what you are looking for this home will not disappoint.
The property is scenic and private, with long views of the rolling hills and bigger mountains in the distance. We also had good communication with the owner and it was easy to get into the unit. But there wasn't much to do at the property other than watch tv in the den upstairs or sit on the porch. The porch sitting was ideal because the views were so good; but it was tempered by the cushions either being on the floor or just being dirty and with lots of dog hair on them. That is outdoor furniture, so it is going to be more subjected to the elements. But our bed was the bad part- the sheets obviously hadn't been washed from the previous use and had lots of hair on them. When my wife lifted up the sheets to clean off the hairs, the cushion underneath had urine stains. On the plus side the owner left pastries for us along with waters and yogurt. It was quiet and peaceful at that location and you could hear the birds and other critters talking. We caught the owners in a busy time where they couldn't get to the unit in a way they would have preferred; had the sheets been clean and the front patio more inviting then the score would have been closer to a 5. Like I said, it is a beautiful home with lovely property surrounding it so I believe our experience was an outlier and not the norm.
After a week of driving, this was a perfect place to rest and enjoy the surroundings. Very comfortable and looking forward to spending more time here in the future!
Again Tawny and Jeff made us feel as we were family! Excellent quiet location with an awesome Breakfast. Great people and an experience everyone should partake in to see what it should be like for a VRBO experience. It was a pleasure meeting some more Family Member Jordan and Jennifer and Grandkids.
It was not clear from the posting that this was a full bed and breakfast, but once we were there Tawny took great care of us and made our hunting and fishing trip a great vacation.
