Our fully updated 1940s cabin sits in Stanley proper and offers a cozy, comfortable home base for exploring the Sawtooth Mountains. The open loft upstairs sleeps up to four guests with a queen bed (new mattress in 2023) and a twin trundle—best suited for families or mixed groups, as the loft is snug for four adults. Downstairs includes a living area, kitchen, and bathroom.
Meadow Creek flows through the property and continues into nearby Valley Creek, a tributary of the Salmon River. You’re just a block from the Nature Preserve for fishing, and an easy walk or bike ride to town. The cabin is located along Highway 21 for convenient access, and some road noise is audible at times. The setting is quiet otherwise, with big mountain views and a relaxed, small-town feel.
Wildfire smoke can occur in the western U.S. during summer months (typically July–September). While we’re unable to offer refunds outside our cancellation policy due to smoke conditions, if access to the cabin or the stay itself is directly impacted by an active fire, we’re always open to communicating with guests on a case-by-case basis.

Great location for all of the adventures that the sawtooth mountains have to offer. 10 minutes from the iron Creek trailhead, and some amazing hikes. Cabin was clean, well stocked, and maintained.
We stayed at this cute cabin with our teens for a few days of exploring and rafting. The cabin was perfect! It had all the things we needed! The view from the porch is exceptionally beautiful! Comfortable beds, clean, cozy. We loved playing games at night.
We loved the cabin in Stanley. The view was amazing. Location was fantastic -close to hikes, restaurants and mercantile. The house had all the little touches to make us comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. The Adirondack chairs were so nice. Very friendly people in town.
My husband and I have an amazing long weekend at the cabin! It was the perfect size for a relaxing, romantic getaway. Close to town and trails. Would highly recommend.
Awesome location and perfect fit for me and adult son. Downtown Stanley was a small but cool mountain town. Hiked to Alpine lake for dip in a glacier lake & enjoyed the natural springs just :20 away.
This place was fantastic. The owner of the home was accommodating and very gracious and thought of everything.
I will bring my wife back and we will stay here while in Stanley. It's on the list of best places I have stayed
This is a delightful little tiny home. Well cared for and clean. My husband enjoyed fishing in the creek behind the house. And as always, we loved our stay in Stanley.
Last min reservation, we were on our honeymoon, went to Cali, Vegas and was going to go to Grand Canyon and Yellowstone , but we both decided to go back home.. so where better than Stanley ❤️ nice and wonderful end to our honeymoon! Great place to stay! And will stay again . Thank you so much!
I feel grateful to have had the opportunity to stay in this cabin and in Stanley. Waking up to a view of the Sawtooths right out the window was awe inspiring. The space was a bit tight for three of us, without much space for luggage. The home was well stocked with what we needed for an overnight visit. It is close to town and we were able to easily walk to the restaurants and hotsprings. I won’t easily forget this magical location.
Very cute little cabin. We primarily used it for the bedroom and bathroom even though it has kitchen facilities. It was less expensive than a motel room Photos are a bit misleading as this is right off the highway. I was grateful for the directions as the address on this listing has the incorrect street name. It’s on Valley Way Road not Valley Creek Road. The only drawback for us was having the bathroom on the main floor and the bedroom upstairs. I would highly recommend it if that is not an issue for you
This is such a great spot! With great views of the Sawtooths and everything in town close enough to walk to, the location can't be beat. Check in was easy and we were greeted by a clean, fresh cabin when we entered. It has been well updated and has everything you need, including an air conditioner for the bedroom. The outside has been updated since the listing photos were taken - there is now a meadow of wildflowers surrounding the property, as well as a stone patio with two Adirondack chairs right out of the door. We spent a pretty substantial amount of time in those admiring the view! Will definitely be back!
Had a little trouble finding the place using a gpa because there is another road by the same name just outside of town. Otherwise this was perfect for our needs. The slope of the ceiling in the upstairs took a night to get used to but was fine after that. Place was described very accurately and met the needs of 2 guys there for some hiking. Owners we’re very responsive and helpful with the direction issues. If you follow their written directions instead of the gos, you will have no problems.
We enjoyed our five night stay here and found the cabin to be perfect. It was very clean and comfortable, and quiet at night. The kitchen contains all the pots and utensils you could want for cooking in or heating up dinner. The location is central to all the hikes we wanted to do.
A wonderful stay in Stanley, could walk everywhere. my granddaughter lives in Stanley and works at the coffee cart. a lovely walk there each morning. thank you!
I heard from a local the connection of the cabin with the Marilyn Monroe photo in a potato sack. there should be something in the cabin about that!

Why they chose this property
We chose this spot for its nearly unobstructed views of the Sawtooth Mountains and the rare sense of openness it offers while still being walkable to town. The small creek that runs through the property adds a peaceful, natural soundtrack and creates a feeling of being immersed in the landscape. It’s a special mix of convenience, quiet, and connection to nature that’s hard to find.
What makes this property unique
Our cabin offers a rare combination of history, location, and natural setting. It’s a lovingly updated 1940s cabin that was saved from demolition and relocated from the former North Fork Store property north of Ketchum—giving it a story you won’t find in a typical vacation rental.
The property sits along Meadow Creek, creating a peaceful, immersive experience with the sound of flowing water, while still being walkable to town and just steps from fishing at the Nature Preserve. With unobstructed Sawtooth Mountain views, dark skies at night, and a cozy, intentionally small footprint, this is a place for guests who value character, nature, and simplicity over size and flash.
