The house is a flexible combination of three suites, each with it's own stunning view and separate entrance. Carson's Run is a very unique home that can accommodate up to twelve in for a wedding party, family reunion or group vacation.

The Phoenix Suite sleeps up to six guests. The Gathering Room features a sitting area in front of a fieldstone fireplace, perfect for curling up with a great book. On game day, or movie night, the TV area with large wall-mount screen, is the place to be. One of the two seating areas doubles as a queen size pull-out. This unit has a fully outfitted kitchen with adjoining dining room. A large Master Suite with king size brass bed also provides a cozy sitting area for a bit of peace and quiet. The second bedroom has a queen size bed and can be accessed from the master bedroom if needed. Out on the screen porch, you'll find a daybed, rocker and dining set; a nice place to get together at the end of the day. You can serve dinner right from the grill as the sun sets.

The Fireside Suite conveniently adjoins the Phoenix on the same level. This small romantic suite with private bath and separate entrance features a queen size iron bed right in front of a gas fireplace. There is a screened porch for morning coffee that you can prepare in your own very neat mini-kitchen.

On the lower level, the Mystic Suite adds a queen bed as well as a queen pull-out sleep sofa in the sitting area. This suite has a country modern feel with an eclectic combination of antiques and collected pieces. A fully equipped kitchen comes outfitted right down to the salt, pepper, sugar and Splenda. This unit also has it's own entrance and a wrap around porch.

The house has everything you need to hideaway for a week or maybe longer.... Don't forget the groceries!

This rental was perfect for our family gathering. We loved the layout where every family could have their own space (if they wanted/needed). We loved walking up to the road each morning to watch the sunrise over the mountains. It was a very accessible location to lots of hikes, wineries and activities in downtown Dahlonega. In researching different rental options, Van was incredible kind and responsive. We would absolutely stay again.Thank you, Van, for letting us enjoy your slice of heaven!

Amazing view and location was 100

Check in/out super easy. Location is perfect. 1 hour from Cherokee casino, 1 hour from la Prada on lake burton, 30 min from Helen, 15 min from dahlonega, tons of wineries all around, tons of golf all around. Can’t wait to return.

Great stay in Dahlonega

House was very nice. Actually had three different living areas in one house with their own bathroom and two and one-half kitchens. Each area had a coffee maker and owner supplied both filters AND coffee-nice touch. Beautiful view of leaves turning colors and of the sunrise. Would absolutely stay there again.

Great Getaway

We had a great time at the cabin. We appreciated the lights being on outside when we arrived. It was pouring rain and it made it very helpful with the driveway. We had 3 couples so the suites made it nice for everyone to have their own space.

Last minute getaway

We loved this house! The views were spectacular! The location was great. A quick drive into Dahlonega or Cleveland and not far from Helen. This was the fullest stocked rental I have ever stayed in. We had a couple rainy days and were able to stay in and cook. Usually a challenge when not at home but we had everything we needed. Can't wait to come back.

Cycling holiday

The property is in perfect location on Woody gap, a well known local cycling road. Lots of quiet country roads around to bike on. Stunning sunrises every morning from the deck of kitchen. Very well equipped full kitchen (and 2 smaller kitchenettes). Highly recommended beautiful mountain retreat. Quick easy communication with owner. Clean well kept house, absolutely loved it!

Fantastic “cabin”

Much more than a cabin. 3 separate yet joined living quarters. Wonderful gathering spaces for meals together and hanging out. We loved this place. Fireside suite for the grandparents and 2 other spaces for the 2 kids and their families. Lots of space and an incredible view. Our host, Van , was super helpful. We’ll be back!! A wedding weekend we will always remember.

Home away from home!

This is actually my first review! And I’ve stayed at numerous homes. This one was STOCKED with everything you can think of, and plenty of it. There were plenty of blankets, towels, dishes, pans, there were spices, oil, aluminum foil, dog bowls, dog towels, a blender, a mixer, tons and tons of extras. It was perfect! Thank you!

Quiet Getaway

We had a wonderful weekend at Carson's Run. What a beautiful home tucked into the mountain side. The view when we woke up Saturday morning and looked out the kitchen window was breathtaking. The view at night was equally breathtaking. We had everything we needed to have a mini-tailgate party before watching the Georgia game. The kitchen is fully stocked. I love walking around looking at all the book titles. I would choose to stay again if given the opportunity.

We Loved Our Visit!

Our stay at Carson’s Run was a great fit for our wedding celebration weekend with our family. The suites provided privacy, yet there is a spacious common area for family gatherings. We were extremely impressed with the cleanliness and organization of the cabin. It provided everything we needed and more. The owner, Van, was very prompt in replying to all communications (within minutes) throughout the entire rental process. This was our first visit to Carson’s Run, and we would love to go back and see the beautiful sunrise view again. Our whole family agreed that this cabin was a beautiful mountain getaway that fit our needs perfectly.

Local stay during local home repairs!

Wow! We could not have been happier! We are local and experienced a flood resulting in being out of our house for 3 weeks during repairs. Van’s hospitality and Carson Runs wildly prepared cabinets made it a pleasure! The wildlife and screened porch were a joy and a treat every morning! We saw a pair of bears ambling by, a mother fox and 3 kits, an owl, multitudes of deer, and. Tiny baby box turtle. The 3 entrances and 3 kitchenettes worked wonders to give 5 adults space and togetherness! Made a crazy few weeks much easier! Thanks so much Van!

Carson's Run

Was very happy when we got to this place.. very clean lots of room.. they had just about everything you would need in this cabin.. had plenty of room, there was only 3 of us.. the only problem we had was bedroom door in the king size room wouldn't latch.. the shower in master bedroom was little small and no way to shave your legs.. hated the washer and dryer were down a long flight of stairs.. light over stove is out too.. but that is nothing.. loved the place would rent it again..

Exceeded Expectations

We needed a place to call “home” while looking for property in the mountains. Carson’s Run far exceeded our expectations. Moments after booking we received a message from Van with all the information we needed. After an 8 hour ride there the remote lock worked and we settled in. The house quickly became a home with all its unique spaces and awesome Mountain View. Our 4-year old husky, Chloe, felt equally welcome and when we had a question Van was ready with an answer. We’re still house hunting and we’re hoping Carson’s Run will be available for our next visit!

Great home, great location, spectacular view

Unique property that is set up as three separate suites. Perfect for multiple parties staying at the property as each suite has its own restroom and kitchen/kitchenette. Found the property squeaky clean at check-in, and owner has gone the extra mile when it comes to quality of the towels, bedding, and other items for guest use. Appliances all worked and are in great condition, and the kitchen and grill were useful (plenty of cooking tools made available). The real selling point to the property is the view from the main kitchen/dining area - was a delight to wake up early and catch the sunrise over the mountain view. Only con to this property is the parking space - since its on the downslope of the hill, the driveway is narrow and a bit scary if you're not used to mountain roads. Only room for one car unless you are confident enough to back in from the main entrance (I was not). Other than that this is a spectacular "cabin" and I look forward to booking a return visit.

Property was spacious, clean and in good working order. Location was great - on the side of the mountain with a nice view. “Mountain roads” to get there were smooth and paved. GPS worked all the way to the cabin - which was not true for all our north Georgia adventures!
