Great property, clean, great for the pups to run and play outside. Convenient to Brewton AL and Pensacola, FL.Kitchen had everything you would need to cook. One of the few VRBO that I have stayed in that had good fluffy towels and plenty of them. Very peaceful and pretty view. Definately would stay again.
The house is clean and well-appointed. During the hot, muggy part of the Florida daytime, we enjoyed watching Netflix and the many colorful birds that perched outside the windows. The property is beautiful and peaceful. We will definitely return!

Erin is a great guest. We are hoping for many returns!
We needed a place to stay while visiting my sister (stage 4 cancer). It was a tough trip for that reason. That being said
we could have not picked a better place to stay. It was warm,
homey and very peaceful. We look forward to coming back and
staying under better times. We will be back.

Dominic is a superb guest. I am so happy that the cabin provided some peace during his family's difficult time. Welcome back anytime!
Great little cabin on a beautiful property, tucked back off the beaten path. The house has just about everything you need. If it doesn't, there are stores not too far away. We loved exploring the property with our dogs. Fishing was attempted, but more turtles than fish responded to the bait. It was great to sit in the back living space with morning coffee and just watch the animals in and around the pond start their day. We felt like we were perched in a tree house! Host Chris is very helpful and accessible. We are already planning a trip back to this cabin in the fall. Maybe we'll try the kayaks then.
The pictures of this property do not do it justice! There is an entire extra living area not featured in the pictures on the listing. It is perfectly cozy. The view from the back area is unbelievable and we spent every morning drinking coffee looking out. We saw many critters while we were there and deer were present every night just outside the kitchen window. The owner has a very special place and he is very kind in letting everyone have access to his boat, kayak, hot tub, and more. There is a grocery store less than 10 minutes away as well.
This place was amazing and we were planning our next trip before our current one had even ended.

Meredith is the type of guest that we hosts hope for. I am really hoping to see return visits, many and soon.
Also...I do not want to forget to say that this cabin has NEVER been left so clean. Thank you, Meredith!
I loved my stay here! The kitchen was well stocked and we were able to make many meals with all the pots/pans, cooking utensils, etc. during our stay. Everything was clean and lovely (one of the blankets had some holes, but not a detriment), and having both an indoor fireplace and outdoor pit was SUCH a treat! We used the kayaks multiple times, I took naps in the hammock, and I loved eating breakfast at the back windows, watching for our friends the beavers. The hot tub was delightful and the fireflies at night made the property feel magical. Chris was an incredibly responsive host and helped us manage a few early morning visits to the trash from neighboring dogs. We did run into some serious carpenter bees that prevented us from using the top back deck, but there was plenty of property to enjoy otherwise. We also ran into a ton of fire ants in the outdoor pit, but were able to treat those well enough to never miss a night by the fire. I would definitely stay here again and hated to leave!
The house was clean and worked perfectly for what we needed. We traveled with 3 dogs and they loved running around the yard. Communication in the beginning was rough but we got it figured out. We did have a survey company show up with no warning to survey part of the property where there is to be another cabin. Otherwise we only saw Chris and them out there. We didn’t get to see the deer, beavers, or otters. There was only one day we got to enjoy the lake because the weather wouldn’t cooperate. There was a large snapper and several other water turtles. The lake was beautiful and clean. Chris had kayaks that we really enjoyed and a jon boat that we paddled around the lake. Very quiet and peaceful. People traveling with your dogs you will love this place!
Just a warning, when we got there I ran back out to get groceries while my husband and dogs stayed. My gps stopped working on the way back and I was lost for a bit. Thankfully the church by the property has several signs and I was able to find it. This is very secluded. Which we LOVE but just know the internet doesn’t work well and cell service is very spotty. Thanks again Chris.

Kayla was a wonderful guest and I highly recommend her to other hosts. The weather did not cooperate, sadly, and since there is only Direct TV out there in that secluded area, very stormy weather can affect internet/tv.
I was sad to hear that they did not get to see the wildlife as much as the guests just before them...maybe next time.
The survey company was on the wrong property altogether. We had no idea that that was going to happen. I thank Kayla for her patience in handling that random door knock. Lol you would think that a SURVEYING company would know where to be!
Lastly, some cell service is spotty, some is perfect....same as anywhere else. We have Verizon and never have a problem. Others do experience bad spots. There is also a home phone there in case it is needed.
I hope Kayla will return soon and have a 5 star experience!
Cabin was super cute and very clean. The pantry was nicely stocked. Christopher was easy to work with check in was seamless. House is located at the end of the road, very peaceful. Relaxing having coffee looking at the pond.
Secluded cabin, relaxing getaway. Tranquility at its finest. Chris was a very gracious host. Ample wildlife and beauty. The cabin was clean, well supplied, close enough to town for quick trips to convenient stores, restaurants, not far from Pensacola yet the property feels very secluded. 5 stars highly recommend for the nature lover and quiet retreat.
My husband and I escaped reality here with our two dogs. The weather was perfect! The pictures of the cabin do NOT do it justice. It is so cute and cozy. Everything was perfect! The lake is great during the day or the hammock or relax and hot tub is nice in the evening. We will definitely be back! Our dogs were living their best life on the property and in the lake. Beautiful place
This was a perfect place for us to stay after hurricane Ida hit our hometown. Loved the peace and quiet and the huge yard and lake for the dogs to play. House was clean and Chris was great from the time we got there. It helped turn our evacuation into a vacation. We will definitely be back in the future. Thanks again for everything Chris!
We enjoyed staying at Chris's property. Enjoyed the peace and quiet so much. Loved the fishing even more. Will definitely be going back if he will let us.
Chris was an excellent host and a super nice man.

George is a fantastic guest and left the cabin immaculate! ..that was really nice. I hope to see him return many times in the future.
First, I want to say, if you want peace and quiet this is where you want to be. The seclusion is perfect. The scenery is beautiful. Every morning, we would wake up and see the morning steam rolling off the water.
At night, we sat outside in the unfinished enclosed patio and had hot coco and watched the stars and listened to the beavers munch on trees and branches. (The unfinished back patio did not bother us, as the previous storm that came in, a tree took the previous enclosed patio down) Which we understand, as people who worked in the disaster relief field, we know damage can happen, especially in Florida. We didn't get to see the deer, but that is okay! We will return again soon!
The kitchen was fully stocked with kitchen utensils, coffee pot, keurig, and many other personal touches. The recliners are sooooo comfy along with the new recliner sofa, which my oldest son claimed because he said it was so comfy to relax on.
Perfect little pad for a small family get away. Super cozy and tucked away from everything.
Chris was such an awesome host. Very friendly and knowledgeable of the land and surrounding area. We got to the cabin on Christmas eve and forgot that the stores were closed on Christmas. There was food in the home and Chris let us make ourselves at home.
If you are looking to get a rest in your mind, family and reconnect with nature and God, then this is the place to be.
We decided to stay one more night and it was easily to confirm and handle with the understanding from Chris. We will be returning for sure! We did not want to leave. Ended this year at a beautiful place that we will never forget!!!
