History and Location Pittsburgh College Tour Weekend

We picked a freezing weekend for Pitt and Duquesne tours! Easy to visit both schools and hit a few of the numerous must do things in Pittsburgh. The historic Pennsylvanian-old train station has been made into all sizes of apartments. Some are long term. I found it perfect for the three of us. Parking is just a challenge you have to expect.communication and help from Abode-the rental company was fast and polite. Fun weekend!

I guess you get what you pay for

Look. I know it’s not the Ritz. And they state that the pictures shown are representative of what you might get. But this place was a dump. Busted up closet doors, hair balls everywhere, unclean bathroom, no batteries in the remotes, flooded gym. But the worst was NO HEAT. We shivered under covers for four days (Pittsburgh in November is not warm). And the property management company is in LA, so you just get canned response texts back with no help. Awful.

Great location to convention center- beautiful historic building!

The building was stunning! The room was okay but you could tell it needed some extra attention or was recently finished in a rush. It smelled of paint when we walked in. The kitchen faucet was not sealed and wobbled back and forth when you touched it. The cleanliness was decent but there was dirt and debris in corners of the room and some hair on the walls in the shower. There was no large area rug as depicted in the picture which would have added warmth. Even though the days were in the 70's, it did get a little warm in the apartment and they have a portable AC unit set up. We appreciated the closeness to the convention center and the kind front desk staff of the building. It would have been nice to have had 2 key fobs since we were both busy but we made it work okay. Note that this is a wedding venue. There were two weddings there while we stayed (Friday and Saturday) which can get very loud. We didn't mind the noise as it was a beautiful occasion and understood but others may no enjoy it. There was a neighbor who was talking on his phone from 3:30am for HOURS. I emailed the company and they were quick to try and get it handled... I guess the walls are fairly thin (or he is extremely loud). Even though we had a few little issues, we would still stay here based on location and the fact that we had a kitchen and didn't need to eat out the entire time.

Great spot!

Very clean, beautiful apartment within walking distance of everything in downtown Pittsburgh. Great location and very comfortable.
